The Prisoner Was Wrong - Chapter 3
Chapter 3
My sister got engaged to the male lead today.
Counting the days, this was already the third month since I had imprisoned Pei Yu.
According to the original plot, Pei Yu would return to the country in another week and run into my sister at the company when she came to deliver a project proposal.
Then he would fall in love with her at first sight, and the two of them would be dragged into a tragic, inescapable mess.
Pei Yu’s hair had grown quite a bit over these three months. His black hair now hung past his ears.
I asked him, “Want me to cut your hair for you?”
Pei Yu shook his head. “No. I like keeping it a little longer.”
After spending so much time together, the way we interacted had become more and more natural.
But Pei Yu had also changed somewhat.
Maybe it was because he’d been oppressed for too long. After all, even a cornered rabbit would lash out.
One day, after he finished the homework I had assigned him, he suddenly looked up at the camera and said coldly, “Did you imprison me just so I could do your homework for you?”
When I saw those words from my university lecture hall, I thought about it carefully.
Looked like he wanted to go on strike.
Fine, fine. I would make him write a little less.
After I got back, I generously announced, “I’ll lighten your load. I’ll write half of it myself, okay?”
He asked me again, “You imprisoned me, and you don’t do anything else. You just make me do your homework every day?”
I flipped through the English test paper he had just finished.
Then I typed a line for him to see: “With a brain that good, wouldn’t it be a waste not to use it for homework?”
All of a sudden, my phone was slapped out of my hand.
I stared in shock at Pei Yu’s bare wrists.
When had he gotten his chains off?
Damn Pinduoduo. The listing clearly said they were sexy handcuffs built to last ten thousand years, absolutely impossible to unlock!
I was wearing a mask, but underneath it, my face had already gone full end-of-the-world panic.
Pei Yu’s face darkened. He shot to his feet and lunged, pinning me down hard.
We were both grown men. How could I let him overpower me?
But Pei Yu’s grip was especially strong. Even after I managed to flip us over and pin him to the bed, he clutched my collar so tightly I couldn’t breathe.
In the end, my arms went weak. He seized the advantage and pinned me back down on the soft bed.
At such a critical moment, not only did I not make a single sound from start to finish, I also kept protecting my mask the entire time.
If he discovered my true identity, my ending would definitely be miserable.
In this awkward position, our eyes met.
I couldn’t help swallowing. My Adam’s apple bobbed, but that was purely because I was scared.
In Pei Yu’s eyes, however, it seemed more like a hint.
In the end, Pei Yu was the first to speak. His voice was low, with a trace of teasing in it. “I’m even better in other areas. Want to try?”
It was like a thunderbolt struck me, and for a long while, I couldn’t come back to myself.
What the hell was he saying?
Wasn’t he supposed to be straight?
I stared at him in shock, until he said something else that shocked me even more.
“Right, I haven’t told you my real name yet. I’m not Pei Yu. My real name is Pei Heng. Pei Yu is my twin brother.”
He lowered his voice, his breath coiling against the side of my neck. “How did you even manage to imprison the wrong person?”
Oh no!
My sister!
At this point, didn’t that real Pei Yu have to be just about to fall in love with my sister at first sight?
This was all my fault for skimming the novel too carelessly. I had skipped too much of the earlier plot and only remembered the melodramatic parts later on.
Now that he mentioned it, I vaguely remembered something.
The yandere second male lead in that novel did seem to have a twin brother.
I couldn’t remember what he was called.
But now I finally knew.
His name was Pei Heng.
