The instant I read those words, my mind exploded.

Ignoring the pain that made me feel as though my whole body had been taken apart, I curled up in the corner of my bed and typed warily, 【Who are you?】

The reply came almost at once.

I did not need to guess.

I would die horribly.

As soon as I sent it, I began analyzing the footage.

I played dead.

He quoted the video back at me and sent a smiling-bean emoji.

For now, I yielded to tyranny. Gritting my teeth, I held down the record button.

I sent it and immediately turned off my phone.

Hugging my knees, I felt my entire body burn.

It was not as if the word was unfamiliar. During the days Yan Mingqing had been in rut, I had called him that plenty of times.

I stared at the bite marks on my calf, fury blazing inside me.
