Chapter 1

It was unbearable.

The rabbit tail that had just sprouted was making me incredibly uncomfortable.

Even worse was the nameless, surging tide of desire roiling within my body.

I wanted Chen Yan to kiss me, to hold me.

I wanted to go even further.

But five minutes ago, he had suddenly broken up with me.

I was stunned at first.

But when I saw Xu Ran standing not far away, reality finally sank in.

It turned out his unforgettable ex-girlfriend had come back to reclaim him.

“Alright, Li Wu, I’ve made myself clear. Let’s leave it at that.”

Chen Yan sounded a bit impatient, glancing back at Xu Ran every now and then.

“I’ve endured this for six months, but I really don’t like the ‘cute’ type. I’m sorry.”

“Being with you is like raising a child.”

“You’re cute, and you’re pretty, but… you just don’t give me that romantic spark.”

“I still prefer someone like Xu Ran-someone with womanly charm.”

I stared at him blankly, wanting to explain myself.

I know I seemed like a child before.

But we of the Succubus Clan only begin our true awakening at twenty.

Before that, our development is almost entirely stagnant.

I had originally intended to tell him the good news today.

I had finally grown up.

I could wear beautiful, sexy slip dresses now.

I could develop seductive curves like a grown woman.

But before I had the chance to tell him, he spat out those hurtful words.

I felt a pang of sadness.

My eyes turned bright red, just like a rabbit’s.

Chen Yan’s frown deepened.

“There you go again. Your eyes turn red at the drop of a hat, like someone’s bullying you.”

I felt even more aggrieved. My true form was a rabbit; rabbits naturally have red eyes.

“Fine, everything that needed to be said has been said. I’m leaving. You should head back to your dorm too.”

Chen Yan turned to walk away.

But I suddenly collapsed by the roadside and began to cry.

It wasn’t because of the breakup.

It wasn’t because of his cruel words.

I just felt… unbearable.

The sensation inside my body was overwhelming.

The blood in my veins felt like it was about to boil.

My mouth was parched, and my heart was racing at a terrifying speed.

My mother once told me that after a Succubus reaches adulthood, she must sustain herself on a daily diet of human emotions and desires.

Simple kisses and hugs from before were no longer enough.

Our needs are ten times more intense than those of an ordinary human.

That’s why it’s best to have a partner. Or rather, one or more steady, strong, and capable… boyfriends.
