Chapter 1

Drizzle dripped from the windowsill; the gloomy night was like a layer of fog.

Knock, knock. A knock came from outside.

I dragged my tired body to the door and opened it: “Who-” Ah.

My voice stuck in my throat as I looked up, meeting a pair of narrowed, trembling eyes.

“Shen Xuzhou?” I looked him up and down. “What are you doing here?”

He pulled a thin smile from the corner of his mouth, raising an eyebrow: “What, not welcome?”

His cheeks were wet, as if he’d been caught in the rain. As he spoke, water droplets slid down his neck, soaking his gray-white shirt.

“Are you drunk?” I frowned. “Who was it last week that swore, ‘After we break up, if I come looking for you, I’m a dog’?”

His expression froze for a moment, then he abruptly lowered his gaze and softened his voice:

“…Fine, Shen Xuzhou is a dog.”

“Li Song, let me in.”

I glanced suspiciously behind the door, then looked at the 1.8-meter handsome guy standing in front of me, bit my lip, and let him in.

I hadn’t been able to see clearly outside, but once he came in, I realized Shen Xuzhou’s clothes were completely soaked.

The extremely thin shirt fabric clung tightly to his lower abdomen, outlining clear abdominal muscle contours.

And after not seeing him for a week, he seemed even thinner, his expression carrying a bit more coolness.

In fact, that was the exact reason I gave when we broke up.

He leaned down and kissed me.

In the damp sound of rain, I caught a whiff of a honey-sweet peach fragrance.
