Adorable Ghost Can Be Eaten as Food - Chapter 2
Chapter 2
I went up to the second floor. There were three rooms, and I phased through the walls to check each one.
Finally, I followed a sound into the largest room.
The master of the house usually stays in the biggest room, so this had to be the master bedroom.
The decor was in shades of light gray, giving the overall style an elegant and simple feel. However, a painting hung on the wall depicting a riverbank and a species of flower with an intensely vibrant color I couldn’t identify.
Beside the painting hung a wall clock that looked somewhat antique.
The room featured a large walk-in closet.
There was a large sofa with an irregular-shaped table in front of it.
The bed was massive-big enough to sleep five people-with a single nightstand holding a book and a cell phone.
Just then, that pitter-patter sound of flowing water reached me again…
I turned around and saw a strange room built entirely of glass.
Well, it wasn’t that strange.
Even though I have no memories, I’ve seen some shops with glass exterior walls like this.
For example, there’s a cake shop I pass by; every time I do, I can see a row of tempting cakes without even going inside.
Is there food in here too?
But why would the sound of flowing water be coming from it intermittently?
I was too curious.
I phased straight through the glass wall.
The scene that instantly met my eyes was a man’s tall, upright figure, fair skin, and a perfect…
“Ah… AH!!” I hurriedly raised my hands to cover my eyes, screaming as I turned around and phased back out through the wall!
Ugh, it turns out the master of the house was taking a shower!
“See no evil, see no evil. I’m not some perverted ghost!”
Despite not being a perverted ghost, I turned around and phased back into the bathroom.
I definitely didn’t want to peek at him showering!
I just suddenly remembered that I could take a shower here too, and I wanted to see how he used those faucets.
Since I have no memories of my life before death, I have to learn many things from scratch.
However, by the time I got back in, the man had already finished his shower.
He was wearing a wide, long white robe as he walked out.
I followed him.
I couldn’t take a shower while he was in the room.
If the water suddenly turned on after being shut off, can you imagine how terrifying that would be?
For a ghost to scare an innocent human for no reason is a violation of Underworld Law. Punishment ranges from detention and fines to imprisonment and torture.
The man walked to the closet, pulled out a drawer, and took out a small device. He plugged it in, and with a “whirring” sound, he began to dry his hair with it.
“So that’s the hair dryer Xia mentioned! She said her boyfriend has one at his place!” Uncultured as I was, I stood to the side curiously, watching him intently.
In just a short while, the man’s hair was dry.
This little gadget is actually quite useful!
The man put the hair dryer away, turned to leave the closet, grabbed his phone, sat on the sofa, and started scrolling.
I followed him over.
However, I didn’t sit on the sofa. Instead, I sat on the table in front of him.
The man’s freshly dried hair was fluffy and slightly messy, but it didn’t detract from his beauty at all.
He was very handsome.
His skin was a delicate, fair white; the bridge of his nose was high, his brows and eyes were deep and heroic, his eye sockets were slightly recessed, and his lips were the perfect thickness.
These sharp, handsome features provided a powerful visual impact.
“Sigh,” I lamented softly. “Xia always says my head is filled with nothing but food and that I don’t know how to flirt with male ghosts. But I think the reason I never flirted with them before is because every male ghost I met was too ugly… If any of them had even half the looks of this man, I would’ve been willing to spend money to doll myself up and snatch him for myself!”
The man’s hand, which was scrolling through his phone, suddenly paused.
I noticed it too.
“Crap, crap… He couldn’t possibly see me, could he?” I was so startled that I scrambled to my feet.
