Adorable Ghost Can Be Eaten as Food - Chapter 3
Chapter 3
“Hey, handsome, can you see me?” I asked, waving my hand in front of his face.
His expression didn’t change at all. He just lowered his head and continued looking at his phone.
Still, I was on my guard.
How could a normal household have no Door God or Household Deity?
Unless this wasn’t a normal household, or they were people who didn’t believe in ghosts and gods at all.
Which one was it?
I couldn’t quite tell.
I decided to test him.
I leaned in close to his face and made a series of grotesque faces at him.
“I’m a malevolent spirit! If you don’t start talking, I’ll eat you while you’re asleep!”
I put on my most ferocious look and continued my threats. “I’m super scary!”
The man set his phone down.
I jumped, startled. Just as I was bracing myself to face him head-on, he stood up and rubbed his stomach. “I’m a bit hungry.”
Those were the first words he had spoken.
His voice was smooth and magnetic, incredibly pleasant to the ear.
After speaking, he turned and walked out.
I followed close behind him.
He went downstairs, entered the kitchen, opened the refrigerator, and took out some ingredients.
It seemed he really couldn’t see me!
While he was busy making food, I hurried back to his room and into the bathroom.
I lifted the faucet handle, and water gushed out with a loud splash. It was a direct stream, and the pressure was quite high.
I quickly shut it off.
“That’s not right. When I came in earlier, I saw water spraying down over the man’s head like rain…”
After investigating for a while, I found a knob that could be turned.
I gave it a twist and turned the water back on.
Pshhh! Water suddenly sprayed down right onto my head!
“I’m so clever…” I’d finally found the right setting.
But I was also soaking wet.
“Well, I’ve been wearing these clothes for three or four days anyway. Might as well wash them too!” I began to enjoy the bathroom as if I were bathing in a rainstorm.
After my shower, I washed my clothes.
Including my underwear.
The man hadn’t returned to the room yet, so I hung my clothes out on his balcony. Holding my underwear, I ran into his walk-in closet.
I pulled open a drawer, took out a hairdryer, and dried my underwear. Once I had them back on, I used the hairdryer on my hair.
I have long, silky black hair that falls past my shoulders, and it’s quite thick.
I have a very delicate doll-like face and pale skin. Before I died, I had cut straight bangs that really suited my look.
Xia used to say that I was never destined to be a malevolent spirit in this life.
Because I looked too cute and sweet.
But I didn’t want to be a malevolent spirit anyway.
Aside from occasionally sneaking into people’s bathrooms to sleep, I hadn’t done anything truly wicked.
Even with this nice man, I was only stealing a use of his bathroom and his hairdryer.
I had no intention of harming him.
Suddenly, there was a sound outside the door.
I quickly switched off the hairdryer and stuffed it back into the drawer.
However, just as I was phasing out of the closet, the man returned to the bedroom.
With the guilt of a thief, I froze, feeling a bit scared.
But he didn’t pause for a second, walking right past me without even a glance.
“Oh, right! He can’t see me at all!” I cheered up and gave a carefree grin.
