After Being Transported to a Beastman World with My Bestie - Chapter 3
Chapter 3
It was officially settled.
Tomorrow night, they had an auction to attend. When the time came, we’d use being sick as an excuse to stay home, then make our beautiful escape.
After we set the time, though, I had no idea why, but I felt a little out of sorts instead.
I watched Shen Han come home from work, then looked at the broad shoulders, narrow waist, and long legs beneath his suit and dress shirt. I swallowed, then charged over in one swift step and latched firmly onto him.
His briefcase dropped to the floor. One hand supported my butt, while the other was still unhurriedly changing into slippers. A faint smile hung on his cold, sharp features.
“Why so enthusiastic today? Your waist doesn’t hurt anymore?”
“It still hurts. But I’m hungry.”
Hungry for his body.
This was the first time I’d said something like that so blatantly. Shen Han froze. His dark green vertical pupils locked onto me, like a hunter fixing on his prey. “Baby, what did you just say? Say it again.”
I grabbed his tie and pulled him forward, then reached out to stroke his bobbing Adam’s apple. “Handsome, why do I feel like I’ve seen you somewhere before? Just to be clear, I’m not hitting on you, but you know, ever since I was little, I’ve never had a husband…”
Those were the words I’d said to Shen Han the first time I crossed over here.
Back then, Cen Yu and I had been plied with alcohol by beastmen with bad intentions and forced to drink until we were drunk and dazed.
At the crucial moment, Shen Han had appeared and saved me. The alcohol was intoxicating, and on top of that, every inch of him was exactly my type. So I took advantage of my drunkenness and did him.
After I finished speaking, I clearly felt a change in Shen Han’s suit pants.
He hefted me higher in his arms. I was forced to tighten my arms around his neck as he carried me step by step toward the bedroom.
Chapter 6
Before the auction began, I naturally “caught a cold.”
To be fair, we really had gone wild last night. The last two times, Shen Han had pinned me down by the rooftop bay window…
Shen Han pressed his lips together, completely convinced by my excuse. “Then I’ll stay home with you tonight.”
“No!” In my panic, my voice nearly cracked. “Ahem, I like that coral necklace. I want you to bid on it yourself and hang it right here for me.”
I swung my bare foot.
He quickly caught it, pressed it against his chest to warm it for a long while, then carefully tucked it back under the blanket. “Stop messing around. Your cold will get worse.”
Almost the instant he turned and left, I received a text from Cen Yu: [Success. Meet at the back gate.]
I quickly got out of bed, dragged the suitcase I’d packed long ago from under the bed, pulled my hat brim low, and snuck over like a thief.
Only after I got into the car and those two villas were left far behind did I let out a long breath. “Oh my god, I never thought it would go this smoothly. He Nan didn’t give you a hard time?”
“Of course not. I told him that in our world, getting married requires wedding rings, so off he happily went to the auction.”
“Huh? Put that way, it sounds like he has feelings for you.”
“Feelings, my ass. He’s definitely buying it for his first love. Yesterday, I even heard him secretly calling someone and talking on the phone for three hours. Hah!”
We went straight to the cruise ship.
Cen Yu raised an eyebrow. “Look. This is the kingdom your bestie has conquered for you. When the time comes, we’ll go out to sea and have fun for three to five days, then whatever city we drift to, we’ll live there for a while. Romantic, right?”
Moved, I nodded. “So romantic. You even booked out the whole place!”
Cen Yu said, “Huh? No, I didn’t. Booking the whole place was too expensive. I couldn’t bear to spend that much.”
“Then why isn’t there a single person…” I abruptly realized something was wrong and grabbed Cen Yu, wanting to run.
The next second, bodyguards from both sides surrounded us.
