Chapter 28

Qin Xian walked over with a frown. Before he had even reached Class 2212, he could already hear clear voices coming from inside the classroom.

“Shao Dog! You’re secretly reading? What, trying to get ahead of us? Face reality. Those people were right-studying is useless! Once the ghosts and monsters take over the world, it’ll be even more useless. Keep reading and I’ll report you. You’ll get punished hard.”

“So you’re really in league with those freaks? Qu Xi, are you sick in the head?”

“Heh. All you know how to do is bury your nose in books. Right now, all you can get is a few words of praise. I’m way richer than you. Once we enter society, you’ll only be fit to work for me.”

“Don’t think you can do whatever you want just because your family has a little dirty money!”

“Sorry, money means I can do whatever I want. What did those people say that was wrong? Society really is that cruel.”

Qin Xian pushed open the classroom door.

The chaotic classroom immediately fell silent.

Qin Xian took the opportunity to sweep his gaze around the room. The desks and chairs inside were all crooked and askew, and scraps of paper littered the floor. A closer look showed they were all torn-up textbooks.

No one had emptied the trash can, and the entire classroom reeked of a sour, rotten stench.

The students inside were in even worse shape. Many of them lay motionless over their desks. Some were crying silently. The rest were either fidgeting uneasily in their seats or talking to others.

When Qin Xian walked in, the students fled back to their seats in a panic as if they had been startled, then looked him over anxiously.

Qin Xian walked straight up to the podium and stood there calmly, neither servile nor overbearing. For a moment, he actually looked a little like a teacher.

“Hello, everyone. My surname is Qin, and I am your… Violent Aesthetics teacher.”

No one below the podium dared to speak, but a few students showed curious expressions.

Qin Xian immediately lifted his eyes and gestured to one of them. “This student here, do you have something you want to say?”

That student jumped in surprise, then stood up nervously and asked, “Teacher Qin… you’re so good-looking, but you teach violence?”

A rare gentleness appeared on Qin Xian’s face. A smile reached the corners of his eyes as he said, “You shouldn’t judge a book by its cover.”

A few students below went “wow” and blushed. After all, this new “teacher” in front of them was simply too good-looking, just like a celebrity. He was clearly a man, yet he wore his half-long hair tied back, which was truly rare.

And he was different from those terrifying adults from before. He looked really nice when he smiled. The heavy atmosphere in the class eased a little, and a few bolder students even began whispering about whether Qin Xian was a celebrity.

But the name of this class still made them somewhat uneasy. One student raised her hand on her own. “Excuse me, what do we study in Violent Aesthetics? It couldn’t be… learning how to fight, or even… kill people, could it…?”

Worry showed on her face, and the other students immediately grew tense. Some were already beginning to choke back sobs.

Qin Xian replied, “If you want to put it that way, that’s not wrong. However, before you learn how to beat someone up, you first have to learn how to defend yourself.”

That… sounded surprisingly normal…

Qin Xian gave them a calm smile. “But wait a moment. I need to borrow a teaching aid from the class next door first.”

A teaching aid?

The students in the class were extremely confused, but Qin Xian had already left the room and headed straight for the class next door.

When he kicked open the door of the neighboring classroom, the fat, big-eared “teacher” inside had already called a female student up to the podium and was forcing her to take off her clothes.

The girl stood high on the podium, clutching her last piece of clothing and sobbing uncontrollably, while the “teacher” below was half-clambering onto the podium, raising his arms high as he tried to yank at her clothes.

Most of the students below were furious but did not dare speak. Some of the girls were already gritting their teeth, ready to rush up and fight for their lives.

Qin Xian’s kick silenced the entire classroom at once, and everyone turned to look at him.

The “teacher” on the podium shouted angrily, “Who the hell are you?”

Qin Xian’s expression was cold. With one stride of his long legs, he rushed right up to the man, grabbed him by the throat, and dragged him down from the podium.

The students below all collectively let out a “holy shit.”

“Gah! Gaaah!”

The piglike “teacher” clutched desperately at Qin Xian’s hand and struggled, seemingly trying to curse. But he could not break free from that single arm that did not even look especially muscular. Instead, he was choked so hard he could barely breathe.

Under the students’ shocked gazes, Qin Xian dragged the man out by the neck.

All the way back to his own class.

The students in the class froze for a moment, then began to cry out in alarm:
“Holy crap! He caught that pig with one hand!”

“Isn’t that the bastard who molested a girl last night?!”

“Beat him up! Teacher Qin, beat him up!”

Qin Xian walked behind the podium and looked at the students. In a gentle tone, he said, “Class, I’ll teach you a move first. This is what you do when you face someone like this. Attack their weak point fast, accurately, and ruthlessly.”

As he spoke, he let go and shoved the man outward.

The fat pig of a man staggered back two steps, clutching his neck and gulping down air. Once he caught his breath, he angrily bent his elbow and clenched his fist, cursing, “Fuck your-ugh!!”

Before the curse could leave his mouth, Qin Xian lashed out with his foot at incredible speed, kicking him hard in the vital spot between his legs.

“Eeeeeeeeeeeek!”

“Hiss!!”

Amid the entire class’s sharp intake of breath, the fat man clutched his vital spot, squeezed his legs together, and collapsed to the floor screaming, his face deathly pale.

He clearly had no tolerance for pain. After falling, he twisted slowly a couple of times, then rolled his eyes back and passed out.

The classroom went silent as a grave. More than ten seconds passed before a few students cautiously peeked out from their seats.

“Is… is he dead?”

“No. People don’t die that easily. All right, did you learn it?”

The students fell silent for a moment.

Seeming to think the silence was because the scene had been too brutal, Qin Xian added, “It’s fine. Don’t worry about excessive self-defense. Just kick like you mean to kill.”

Qin Xian even gave them a small smile in an attempt to reassure them, but the students probably only found him even more terrifying.

The classroom remained unnaturally quiet until someone outside the window shouted, “Teacher! That was awesome!!”

A burst of clapping rang out. Qin Xian turned his head and saw the students from the neighboring class pressed against the window, looking at him with admiration and overwhelming excitement.

When they had just seen their female classmate about to be humiliated, they had been furious and terrified, yet powerless. But at that moment, someone had charged into the classroom like a divine soldier descending from the heavens, dragged the man away, and subdued him.

How could that not be exhilarating?

“Teacher! Thank you for saving us!”

“Teacher, did you come to save us?”

“You’re so handsome, even better-looking than a celebrity! Can I get your autograph?”

The students trapped in panic seemed to have seen hope. The bolder ones had already rushed into the classroom, trying to get closer to Qin Xian.

That stirred up the students of Class 2212 as well. They raised both hands and began shouting noisily as they crowded toward the podium.

“Teacher Qin, that was amazing!”

“Scum like that should be physically sterilized!”

“That was so cool. I want to learn that move. Is there anything else you can teach us?!”

“Teacher, save us! Do you know what’s happening right now?”

Qin Xian hadn’t expected this group of students to get so excited. Just as he was about to tell them to quiet down, a reprimand suddenly came from the corridor outside the classroom.

“What are you doing here?! Do you want to die?!”

The students in the hallway instantly fell silent. They looked at the newcomer with fear on their faces. The students from the neighboring class scattered like rabbits, wanting to return to their own classroom but afraid they would be caught if they went out, so they chose to crouch at the base of the wall and curl up into balls.

The students inside the classroom were also very considerate. They immediately untied the nearby curtains and covered them up.

Qin Xian walked straight out of the classroom to check the situation. He saw one of the security guards who had escorted him here appear at the end of the corridor, holding an electric baton as he approached step by step.

When a trembling student tried to run past the security guard, the guard had already raised the electric baton high.

The student immediately knelt on the floor in terror, clutching their head. Just as they were about to be struck, Qin Xian rushed forward in a few steps and snatched the electric baton from the security guard’s hand with incredible speed.

The security guard flew into a rage. “What are you doing?! Do you know the consequences of disobeying campus discipline?! We’ll torture you until you’re begging for death!”

Qin Xian asked in return, “How am I disobeying discipline? I’m just teaching class as normal. Besides, my lesson still needs more teaching aids, so I’ll have to ask you to help out.”

The security guard froze. “What?”

Qin Xian said, “I’m teaching Violent Aesthetics, so of course I need a subject to demonstrate on for the students. I can’t exactly use these students who couldn’t even kill a chicken, can I? But you, big brother, look violent enough. You’re very suitable to come up to the podium and give the students a demonstration. Let’s have a match, shall we?”

At the mention of violence and slaughter, the security guard immediately grew interested. “You’re not wrong about that. To fulfill the educational objective, I can cooperate with you. It’s just… when you see blood later, don’t start crying.”
With that, it began to grin viciously.

Clearly, however, he had completely misidentified the one doing the violence here.

When the students saw Qin Xian return to the classroom with the security guard, worry spread across their faces. The students from the class next door who had run off earlier quietly crept back over, pressing themselves against the windowsill to peek inside.

Those security guards were monsters, through and through. What if this teacher got killed? Would they be able to help at all?

The students watched every movement on the podium tensely.

Qin Xian stood there calmly, composed and natural, genuinely looking quite like a teacher.

The security guard stood beside him with his hands on his hips, turned slightly as he stared Qin Xian down. His frame looked a full size larger than Qin Xian’s. He cracked his knuckles and gave a sinister chuckle. “What? Are we starting right away? Or should we grab a couple of students to warm up first?”

The students below stiffened.

Qin Xian shook his head. “If you beat the students to death, how are you supposed to use their negative emotions to strengthen the pollution?”

The security guard looked at Qin Xian in surprise. “Didn’t expect you to know that much. But killing one or two right now and plunging everyone else into panic-wouldn’t that be even better?”

Listening to their exchange, the students began guessing at what was happening. A few of the more imaginative ones looked at Qin Xian with a little more scrutiny and suspicion.

Qin Xian ignored the security guard and turned to the students below the podium. “Watch carefully. Things like this can absolutely be dealt with. You just have to find their weak point.”

“You fucking-!” The security guard cursed, casually picked up a pair of scissors from a front-row desk, and hurled them at Qin Xian’s face.

Qin Xian took out a switchblade, blocked the incoming scissors, and flicked them upward. The scissors went flying and stabbed straight into the camera in the upper-right corner of the classroom. Whether it was coincidence or intentional, no one could tell.

“Watch carefully. They care a lot about the tops of their heads, so their weak point should be here.”

As soon as Qin Xian finished speaking, he directly lifted the cap off the security guard’s head.

A skull with only half of its cranium remaining was exposed. Along the edge of the skull was a dense ring of teeth, and a tongue stretched out from beneath the exposed brain.

“Ahhh!”

The terrifying sight made the students below scream.

Still, a few bold students kept staring, eyes locked on the monster that had shattered their entire worldview overnight.

With its weak point exposed, the security guard let out a shriek. The mouth formed by the skull at the top of its head opened and closed. “I’m going to kill you! I’ll dig out your brain and eat it! Hehehe, you look really delicious!”

Its tongue suddenly split down the middle into four, each strand embedded with sharp teeth still stained with blood. The toothed tongues tried to encircle Qin Xian from four angles, trapping him in the middle and binding him in place.

But Qin Xian stood where he was, showing no intention of dodging.

Some of the students below hurriedly covered their eyes.

But in the next second, Qin Xian’s arm slipped precisely through the gaps between the toothed tongues. Risking being wrapped up and pierced to death, he struck first, driving the knife straight into the security guard’s brain.

With a wet squelch, he even turned his wrist and stirred something with the blade.

The toothed tongues stopped barely two centimeters from Qin Xian’s body, then went limp and collapsed to the floor.

Qin Xian pulled out the switchblade. The security guard’s body fell backward stiffly, brain matter spilling from its head all over the floor. At the sight, Qin Xian immediately grabbed the flag beside him and quickly covered the bloody scene.

“Eek!”

Someone below let out a small scream.

But someone else still mustered the courage to ask in a trembling voice, “Is… is it dead?”

Qin Xian nodded. “It’s dead. If you run into one, don’t be afraid. Of course, the best way to deal with it is to run. If you can’t run, then work together to fight it. It can be defeated. Its weak point is the head.”

The students below looked at one another. Some were still terrified.

But others grew excited. “So these things… they can actually be killed!?”

“Teacher Qin! You really did come to save us, didn’t you?”

“Sob, sob, I finally see hope. I thought we were dead for sure…”

“But I’m still kind of scared…”

“So superheroes really exist? Are movies real after all? Wait, Teacher Qin, do you know what exactly happened?”
