Summary
Seven years after faking his death, Bai Luo learns that his world is an epic comic—and that Wu Si, the beastkin slave he once abandoned, has become emperor. The story should be over, but a meddling system orders Bai Luo to return as the final villain because Wu Si hates him more than anyone alive. Yet when their buried history resurfaces, the readers’ certainty begins to crack. Beneath Bai Luo’s cruelty lies a sacrifice no one understood, while Wu Si’s hatred looks dangerously like a devotion he cannot relinquish. To save the dead, Bai Luo must gamble with death itself—and face the man who refuses to let him go.
