Can an Inferior Alpha Dominate a Top-Tier Alpha? - Chapter 1
My communicator went off, and I hurried out of the training grounds. I had barely tugged my collar loose for some air when someone blocked my path.
“Disciplinary Committee. Senior, please straighten your uniform.”
Before he had even finished, his companion grabbed him. “Are you insane? Leave him alone! That’s—”
I hadn’t bothered to look up, but then I heard those two words for the first time in years.
“Oh. That’s Li Wenxiao’s wild dog?”
“Keep your voice down!”
Wild dog.
The last time I’d heard that was three years ago.
I stopped and glanced back, meeting the eyes of the freshman beside the Disciplinary Committee president.
Anyone who made it into the Royal Military Academy was either rich or powerful.
Anyone except me.
But as they said, my owner was Li Wenxiao.
His family stood above even the rest of these privileged heirs, which meant I could throw my weight around under the protection of his name. The day after I climbed into his bed, the student who had led the campaign to bully me broke his leg, and the field-training slot I had been denied became mine.
There had been plenty of incidents like that. Li Wenxiao knew I used his name to crush people, but he never interfered. Even the Disciplinary Committee could only look the other way.
No one dared provoke me after that. At most, they called me a whore behind my back and sneered that I was an Alpha letting another man use me like an Omega.
Since joining the Capital Star military reserve, I’d spent less time on campus. It was only natural that this freshman didn’t recognize me.
I smiled at him, pulled my collar even farther open, and moved my lips.
“Woof.”
The freshman froze, his whole face turning scarlet.
I’d been malnourished as a child and sick when I presented, so I wasn’t as strong as an ordinary Alpha. Everyone said I had the build of a Beta and the face of an Omega.
The first time I went to Li Wenxiao’s villa, he said I had eyes made for looking pitiful.
He pinned me in front of a mirror and made me look at myself, then asked if I agreed.
What I wanted to say was, Look at your damn father. The truth was, I couldn’t get a single word out. Only broken sounds came from my throat.
To everyone else, Young Master Li was cold, aloof, and practically celibate. That day, he made me crawl through every corner of his villa.
I counted the stairs.
I got a good look at the garden.
And I discovered what he kept in the basement—things custom-made for me.
At the academy, every Alpha was held to strict standards when it came to controlling their pheromones. A top-tier Alpha like Li Wenxiao even had to wear a bite guard during his rut.
As an inferior Alpha, I carried a pheromone-filtering mask everywhere.
That first time at the villa, Li Wenxiao released his pheromones without restraint. It was the first time I had ever smelled him.
The fierce, domineering scent of eucalyptus flooded every olfactory nerve I possessed. For an instant, my mind went completely blank.
An Alpha resisted another Alpha’s pheromones by instinct, yet deep in his bones, he also submitted to a member of his own kind who ranked above him. Caught between those opposing impulses, I couldn’t even stay on my feet.
It had been too long; I couldn’t remember whether I cried that day.
I only remembered Li Wenxiao trapping me between his body and the floor-to-ceiling window. At last, unable to bear it any longer, I turned my head.
I wanted to ask him for a break.
But my voice was already gone. I couldn’t make a sound.
All I could do was strain up to kiss his jaw and look at him pleadingly.
I knew perfectly well that I had a pair of peach-blossom eyes. I just wasn’t sure they could actually make me look pitiful.
Fortunately, they worked well enough for Li Wenxiao to postpone the rest until the following weekend.
That was the limit of my inferior Alpha constitution. Without chemical help, there was no way I could spend an entire day like that with a top-tier Alpha.
So one weekend became the next, and what I owed him only kept mounting.
Eventually, Li Wenxiao grew less and less satisfied and developed an Omega-mimicking agent to use on me. Under its effects, my pheromones would eagerly meld with an Alpha’s like an Omega’s did.
…
Once I’d been labeled “Li Wenxiao’s wild dog,” I could swagger even in front of the Disciplinary Committee. Loosening my collar outside the training grounds was nothing.
So when the freshman turned that red and still threatened to deduct points if I didn’t fix it, I was a little surprised.
I smiled. “All right, all right. Is this better?”
I was in a hurry and didn’t want the kid chasing me around to lecture me about discipline, so I simply fastened my collar all the way up.
His companion’s jaw nearly hit the floor. He stared at me as if he’d seen a ghost.
The freshman’s face looked ready to drip blood. He nodded wildly. “Y-yes. That’s fine.”
I said nothing else and walked away.
