Chapter 1

As night was falling, Liu Jiao suddenly burst in and threw a blood-soaked man onto my bed.

“Don’t make a sound.”

She pointed at the man, saying haughtily,

“That’s the Commander of the Imperial Guard, Qin Zhan, whom I saved.”

“Don’t be negligent, and don’t breathe a word. You must look after him in my name. If you dare reveal your identity, I’ll skin you alive.”

Liu Jiao, afraid of alerting others, threatened me a few more times before hurrying off.

I looked at the unconscious man. He was injured, half his face smeared with blood. I didn’t mind that; first, I stripped off his clothes to see what was underneath.

That sight nearly made my blood boil with excitement. The man’s bronze chest was full and firm, his waist slim and tight, and his whole body packed with thick, solid muscle.

My inner vines were already stirring restlessly. I soothed them, telling them to be patient. Unlike those thin, weak men, he’d definitely keep us entertained for a while.

Humming a tune, I used my vines to bind his limbs and deftly changed his clothes.

At dusk, Qin Zhan woke. He coughed a few times, opened his eyes, but saw only darkness.

I kindly told him, “Your eyes are injured; you can’t see for now.”

He slowly rolled his eyes and turned his head toward the sound. “Miss, are you the one who saved me? …Why am I tied up?”

Hearing that low, hoarse voice, the vines couldn’t help but creep up from his wrists.

Qin Zhan threw his head back and cried out, struggling fiercely. The more he struggled, the more excited the vines became.

“What is this!”

I had meant to restrain them, but the warm body transmitted through the vines’ shared sensation also made me blush.

Before long, every inch of Qin Zhan’s body was explored by me once again.

His wounds split open anew, his whole face turning pallid.

I’d gone too far playing.

I re-bandaged him.

“I’m sorry, I couldn’t control myself.”

Qin Zhan was sweating coldly in pain, but his tone was dark and sharp. “Rather than humiliate me like this, you would do better to kill me!”

Then how would I feed?

Torn, I found a compromise. “I’ll humiliate you first, then kill you. How about that?”

“Lecher!”

His chest was taut, his voice sick with disgust. “You’d best not give me a chance, or I’ll chop you into a thousand pieces, you vicious woman.”

I recalled my older sister’s instructions and said to him earnestly, “My name is Liu Jiao. Be sure to remember it.”
