Capture Her Vine - Chapter 2
Chapter 2
I don’t know how to heal human wounds; I need to get a doctor.
I went to find Liu Jiao, but she gave me a furious scolding.
“You fool! Calling a doctor will surely alarm people. Are you trying to tarnish my reputation?”
“Then give me money to buy medicine,” I said.
She gaped at me. “My mother gives you such a generous monthly allowance, yet you still have the nerve to ask me for money? How shameless!”
Before she finished speaking, the door slammed shut in my face.
I touched my nose and had no choice but to go back to my room and search.
I am originally a Vine Demon from the mountains. Normally, I wait at the cliff for men thrown down to drain their vital essence.
One day, I caught Liu Qingying after she was tossed over the edge.
She had been chased by a pack of wolves and was already at death’s door when she fell.
Liu Qingying mustered her last breath and begged me to go in her place to visit her mother.
I agreed.
After taking her form and entering the residence, I discovered that Liu Qingying’s mother was gravely ill.
I feared that telling the truth would send her over the edge, so I decided to stay for the time being.
That’s why I truly had no idea where Liu Qingying kept her money.
I searched half the day and only found a few strings of copper coins.
Qin Zhan refused to take his medicine. I used the vines to pry his mouth open and poured it in dose by dose.
Brown medicinal liquid dripped from the corner of his mouth, sliding into his collar.
I stared at those sharply defined lines and thought how wonderful it would be if I were that medicine.
Suddenly, a faint itch tingled through me. When I looked up, I saw that Qin Zhan had bitten down on a vine.
Unfortunately, even with all his strength, he only left a shallow teeth mark.
The stimulation made the vines stir restlessly.
One, then another… I stuffed them all into his mouth, filling it so he couldn’t close it.
Qin Zhan let out choked whines, fresh tears streaking from the corners of his eyes.
I took the chance to pour the medicine in.
But the vines wouldn’t let him off so easily.
They rubbed and dallied for a good while, and only when they’d gotten their fill did they withdraw contentedly.
Qin Zhan panted, his dark, misty eyes glazed with moisture.
I said softly, “If you like it, from now on I’ll always feed you your medicine this way.”
His brow twitched, and he shot me a glare brimming with hatred.
But he didn’t throw any more tantrums.
After a few days of recovery, Liu Jiao came to visit him.
With practiced ease, I slipped the vines under the blanket and whispered to Qin Zhan, “Behave, or I’ll snap your precious right off.”
