Disciple, Behave Yourself! - Chapter 2
After settling Ji Jiaojiao in, I ordered someone to keep a close watch on her and returned to the main peak.
Since the story had already begun revolving around her, I might as well keep her where I could see her.
Given my master’s nature, he would never have spared me a glance if I hadn’t all but forced my attentions on him and refused to let go after that first night of intimacy.
Yet in the original story, he and Ji Jiaojiao had fallen for one another shortly after she became his disciple.
Then the demons had attacked. My master had fought a thousand enemies alone, and the Demon Lord had taken the chance to destroy his eyes.
What followed was endless torment.
There had to be more to it.
Now that my master’s heart belonged to me, and Ji Jiaojiao hadn’t become his disciple, could everything that came after be avoided?
Lost in thought as I considered my options, I found myself in my master’s courtyard.
I sat down on a stone stool.
Looking up, I saw him tending the Xueling flowers with his energy.
His head was slightly bowed, his expression intent.
The flowers cast a faint white glow over his face, lending him an air of quiet peace.
My throat tightened. I couldn’t help swallowing. Before I knew it, I’d risen and pushed the door open.
Seeing it was me, he lifted his chin in silent inquiry.
I went up to him, wrapped my arms around his waist from behind, and rested my chin on his shoulder, full of tender affection.
“Your message was so hurried yesterday, and you’ve traveled all day today. Are you tired?”
My master shook his head.
I sighed and looked up at the roof with a quiet laugh. “One month apart, and you’ve been doing quite a few good deeds behind my back, Master.”
I put particular emphasis on “good deeds.”
My master looked puzzled.
I turned my head and kissed him, long and lingering.
When the kiss ended, my hand wandered lower.
“Usually, I can’t get you to call me husband. But now it’s Jiaojiao this, Jiaojiao that. So affectionate.”
I admit it: hearing those syllables leave his mouth had made me jealous.
How could he be so intimate with someone else?
So what if she was the heroine? My master was mine.
I wouldn’t let anyone covet the man who belonged to me.
My master muttered a curse, letting me have my way. “Mm… That’s different.”
I bit his neck in punishment. “How is it different? Are you interested in her?”
He shuddered, the corners of his eyes reddening, and snapped indignantly, “Ow… Are you a dog? Why are you so fond of biting?”
I looked closely. A dark red mark had risen where I’d bitten him.
I hadn’t been paying attention. I’d bitten a little too hard.
I forced out a justification. “Marking you as mine. Maybe then people will stop thinking about you all day.”
My master swore at me. “I have no idea what’s gotten into you in broad daylight!”
“When have I ever been sane around you?”
I gave a cold little snort, spun him around, and pressed close.
My master froze, deeply displeased. “It’s daytime.”
“So?”
Everything else was swallowed by our kisses.
My master’s lips parted and closed, trembling slightly, while his face slowly flushed pink.
More lovely, even, than peach blossoms in spring.
