This was the third day since Yan Qi had imprisoned me.

I hadn’t seen him once these past few days. The ones bringing my meals were all maidservants.

My limbs ached from being shackled in iron chains.

I lowered my head and glanced at my swollen belly, cursing that bastard Yan Qi under my breath.

Damn it! So what if the child came out looking like you?

My face flushed bright red. I knew the original owner of this body had been bold, but I hadn’t expected her to be this bold.

Yan Qi leaned in again, trying to claim another kiss, but I pressed both hands against his chest to stop him.

“Th-that’s… different now! I’m pregnant. I can’t do this kind of thing. It’s bad for the baby.”

Yan Qi drew so close to me that our faces were nearly touching. Then he suddenly flashed me a wicked smile.

“What are you imagining? I was only giving you a breath of true qi to nourish the little rabbit kit.”

That bastard man!

I gave him an awkward smile.

“The Demon Lord’s true qi is so precious… I’m afraid the baby couldn’t possibly bear it.”

Yan Qi shrugged and took my hand.

“What nonsense are you talking about? I, this Venerable’s child, would be the second strongest being in the world! How could it not withstand my true qi?”

Yan Qi looked at me, who was forcing a smile, as if I were an idiot.

I leaned against him, breathing in the faint fragrance on his body.
