I pretended my stomach hurt, grimacing as I clutched my belly.

“Your Excellency… My stomach suddenly hurts!”

My acting was terrible, but Yan Qi still panicked.

“You were perfectly fine a moment ago. What’s wrong?”

Yan Qi was just about to reach out and use his magic to examine my stomach when I immediately grabbed his hand and gazed at him with deep, tender affection.

“It’s fine. The child is yours, Your Excellency, so fortune will surely protect it. Maybe it’s because I spent too long in that little room… Coming out all of a sudden feels a bit strange. I want to go to the bathroom and freshen up…”

Yan Qi was extremely obedient when it came to me. He carried me, his face tight with worry, and strode quickly to the bathroom before setting me down.

Sticking out my belly, I hurried inside. I had just been about to close the door when Yan Qi slipped in after me in a flash.

I gave him an awkward yet polite smile.

“Why has Your Excellency come in as well?”

“Why can’t I? It’s not like we haven’t… Besides, with your belly so big, what if you slip and fall?”

I was going to lose my mind!

If you cling to me every second of the day, what am I supposed to do if my fake pregnancy gets exposed?

Meeting Yan Qi’s sincere eyes, I felt terribly uneasy.

“I won’t, I won’t… Hurry up and get out!”

I shoved Yan Qi toward the door. Afraid of hurting me, he didn’t dare fight back. He could only shoot me one resentful look before retreating outside.

Once he was gone, I quickly scanned the bathroom and spotted a tiny window. I should be able to get out through there.

But in human form, there was no way I could squeeze through it.

I needed to turn into a rabbit.

Holding my breath, I gathered every bit of strength in my body into my chest. Thanks to Yan Qi’s kiss earlier, I had quite a bit more vital energy than before, and before long, I suddenly felt myself shrink by a huge amount.

Pop!

On my very first transformation, I actually succeeded.

Looks like my aptitude wasn’t half bad.

But wrapped up in a pile of clothes, I ran into a new problem.

Once I turned into a rabbit, I couldn’t wear human clothes anymore. Then if I wanted to turn back into a human, what was I supposed to do without any clothes?

Forget it. The boat would straighten itself out when it reached the bridge.

I hopped to the edge of the bath and saw my reflection. I was a yellow-and-white spotted rabbit, and a pretty cute one at that! The only problem was that my body felt a little heavy, so jumping was kind of tiring.

I bounced my way over to the window and, without the slightest hesitation, leaped out.

“Ah!”

The pain I expected never came. Instead, I landed on something soft and warm, something that was giving off heat.

“What… what is this?”

My body suddenly shivered with discomfort, because I saw an enormous furry face and a pair of oppressive yellow eyes.

Damn it!

Could this be Brother Tiger?

No, wait. Why would there be a tiger near Yan Qi’s residence in the Demon Realm?

Trembling, I slowly hopped down from its body.

Aside from arching its back, the tiger made no other move. I didn’t dare look at it anymore, but I could feel its pupils staring at me with predatory intensity.

“Hi? What a coincidence… Resting here, huh?”

Politely, I stretched out one little pink paw pad and waved at it.

The tiger said nothing. Suddenly, it swung out a massive paw and smacked me aside.

I’m finished!

I had no time to care about the pain. I took off running as fast as my legs could carry me.

An arrow glowing with purple light shot in from my left.

Though the arrow was small, it struck with terrifying precision, landing right in Brother Tiger’s eye.

“Awooo!”

Brother Tiger let out a miserable howl and collapsed to the ground.

Its body was enormous, and the impact sent me tumbling off to the side. Then I lost consciousness.
