Don't Buy a Beastman on a Whim - Chapter 3
Chapter 3
My body pitched backward from the momentum and slammed heavily onto the floor.
Weird.
Why was the floor so soft?
Xia Ye grabbed my wandering hand, the fur on his ears standing on end.
“What are you doing?”
Once I realized what outrageous thing I had just touched, I shrieked and sprang up.
Xia Ye’s gaze was wild, and so piercing it felt like it could go straight through me.
“You want to take it out on me right now, don’t you?”
I blinked. After groping a man’s most private place, was I really the kind of person who would then hit him?
Before I could answer, Xia Ye narrowed his eyes, leaned back, and rested his head against the floor. “Then do it. Saves me from having to wash again afterward.”
His slightly lifted neck looked wild and sexy.
Xia Ye was ridiculously good-looking, and even his eyes were ridiculously good-looking. The more I looked, the happier I felt.
You wanted me to vent my emotions on a pretty face like that?
Would I still be human?
I stared at him, nearly grinding my teeth to dust, then charged out the door, leaving only one sentence behind. “Sorry, but I can’t bring myself to hurt a man!”
Chapter 6
Back in the bedroom, I chugged two bottles of ice water in one go and finally managed to suppress that nameless fire.
Xia Ye came out.
There was no steamy mist to blur the view.
That beautiful body was even more completely on display.
No, buddy, I get it. You have a great body. An absurdly great body. All smooth and pink and-
But you can’t keep testing your leader like this.
Xia Ye walked to the middle of the bedroom and started shaking his head.
The frequency was so high it was like someone had plugged in an electric drill.
In an instant, water sprayed all over the bedroom.
“Stop, stop, stop!” I jumped up, dodging the splashes while grabbing a bathrobe for him.
“Put this on.”
Xia Ye stopped and glanced at the bathrobe.
He said flatly, “It’s more comfortable without it.”
“I know it’s more comfortable without clothes,” I coaxed him patiently, “but look, I’m still being good and wearing mine, aren’t I?”
Xia Ye maintained the same attitude. “Then you take yours off too.”
“Are you going to listen or not?” I snapped, exasperated. “If you don’t, do you believe I’ll punish you?”
Xia Ye fell silent. After a long while, he suddenly gave a mocking smile.
“Isn’t that why you bought me?”
I bit the tip of my tongue, realizing I had said the wrong thing.
Look at that. I’d gone and hurt the poor kid’s tender little heart.
Annoyed with myself, I rubbed my head.
He was worth One Hundred Million, after all. If he got upset and just dropped dead with a snap…
Where would I even go to cry?
I opened my mouth, about to say a few comforting words.
Then I saw Xia Ye lie down on the bed. “Come on. I don’t have any experience, so you can’t blame me if it doesn’t feel good. If it hurts, you… can’t blame me either.”
Blinded by lust, I took two looks at his tight little eight-pack.
Fair enough. With muscles that firm, if I really hit him, it was hard to say which one of us would end up hurting.
But this brat had actually lain on the bed without even drying his fur.
The corner of my eye twitched. I closed my eyes and silently chanted, “This is money. I endure. This is money. I endure…”
The person on the bed turned over and used the blanket to cover the reaction he shouldn’t have had.
At the worst possible time, the TV started playing a nature documentary.
“Spring returns to the earth, all things awaken, and once again it is time to ma-”
The person on the bed gradually twisted himself into a pretzel.
I looked at the bed he’d soaked, wanting to get angry but not daring to. In the end, I tossed the box at him.
“Make your own meal.”
