Faithful Dog Man's Dead Girlfriend - Chapter 3
Chapter 3
To be honest, I hadn’t used a single one of those things.
But nothing could stand in the way of my determination to make money.
So I immediately launched a user review campaign in the shop: anyone who submitted feedback of more than eight hundred words would receive a coupon for the store.
Thanks to my brilliant marketing, in less than a week, not only had I sold out of every product, but I’d also collected a stack of review reports thick enough to rival a dictionary.
I strode into the Dream Management Office with my head held high. Before I could even speak, the Dream Official asked first, “Going into another dream?”
“Mm-hmm.”
The Dream Official frowned. “No dead person spends this much hell money every single day just to visit the dreams of the living. Even Steve Jobs didn’t act this flashy after he came underground.”
I grinned shamelessly. “Aren’t I just supporting your business?”
“Then I really ought to thank you.”
The Dream Official opened the gate into the dream. I thought I would have to wait a long time again, but to my surprise, everything went unusually smoothly this time.
After entering the illusion, I glanced at the clock. Seven o’clock sharp in the evening.
“Why are you asleep so early?”
Then I took another look. Lu Yuan was wearing a crisp white dress shirt, with a pair of casual trousers below. His hair had clearly been carefully styled, and he’d even used setting spray.
On his right wrist was the watch I had given him in the past. The strap had already been worn a little pale, but it didn’t affect the aristocratic air he carried in the slightest.
Who dressed like this to sleep? Wasn’t that a bit too showy?
Suspicious, I asked, “Don’t tell me you knew I was coming back today and were deliberately waiting for me?”
All I got in return was a cold laugh from Lu Yuan.
Fine. My bad for flattering myself.
Lu Yuan sat in his swivel chair like some godfather, his long fingers tapping idly against the armrest. “Here to ask me for something again? Did you finish the homework I assigned you?”
Homework?
He really thought he was somebody.
Suppressing the urge to roll my eyes, I pulled the collected user experiences from my bag and presented them with both hands. “The user experience reports you requested, sir. This humble one has finished writing them all. Please review them.”
Lu Yuan took them and flipped through a few pages. Then he suddenly looked up. “You wrote all of these after using the products yourself?”
At that, my heart clenched.
Before coming here, I had read through the contents once and deleted every mention of names. Could there still be a fish that slipped through the net?
As I answered, “Yes,” I leaned over uneasily, wanting to take a look too.
Lu Yuan opened to one of the pages. “Read this part yourself.”
I blinked, then read from the spot he indicated. “The user experience was excellent. The entire time, I wanted to do naughty things with my male god. It really proves the saying: even dying beneath a peony flower would make for a romantic ghost.”
That sounded pretty sincere and tastefully worded to me.
I humbly asked, “May I ask what the problem is?”
Lu Yuan raised an eyebrow. “Who is your male god?”
Holy crap. So this was the trap!
“Please let me explain. That’s not what I meant. What I meant was…”
There was no way to explain this!
In the end, I could only grit my teeth and say, “Y-you’re my male god!”
At that, Lu Yuan’s expression visibly improved.
Even the corners of his mouth, which hadn’t curved in ten thousand years, lifted slightly, and a hint of satisfaction appeared between his brows.
“Not bad. Tell me what you want.”
This was the first time since I’d known Lu Yuan that I realized this man was actually this handsome.
I really couldn’t hold myself back. I rushed over, hugged Lu Yuan, and planted a loud MUA of a kiss on him. “Long live my husband!”
Lu Yuan was clearly stunned for a moment. As if in disbelief, he reached out and touched my face, staring at me with his pupils slightly dilated.
I knew what he wanted to ask, so I said, “It’s a dream.”
Dreams were illusions.
But they were also the only real thing between the realms of yin and yang.
After I said that, I noticed Lu Yuan’s eyes had turned red.
A long while later, he finally withdrew the hand resting on my face.
The bell rang. It was time to part again.
I said, “Lu Yuan, burn more things for me, okay?”
Lu Yuan didn’t answer me.
But I knew he would.
