Humiliating the Cold Crown Prince - Chapter 2
Chapter 2
Lines of text began floating before my eyes again:
[What is going on?! Why is the plot getting weirder and weirder?!]
[Isn’t this Cold Fragrance Dew the medicine the vicious female supporting character carries around every day because she’s had heat illness since childhood? Why does this vicious cannon fodder have it too?]
[Oh, damn. Did the characters get mixed up? Is this a bug?]
In the hall, everyone was staring at my lower half.
But after a long while, nothing happened.
Prince Ning’s face darkened. “You’d better not be lying to me again.”
I covered my face and said shyly, “Oh, come now. I’m thin-skinned. With all of you staring at me like this, even if I had eighteen tricks up my sleeve, how could I possibly perform?”
Everyone nearly vomited on the spot.
“Then what do you want?”
I put on a hoarse, duck-like voice. “Oh, for this sort of thing, one needs a properly arranged private room to get in the mood.”
Prince Ning looked somewhat suspicious. “What are you planning?”
I raised a hand and pointed to a private room upstairs.
The lamplight flickered, clearly casting the furnishings inside onto the snow-white window gauze.
“There. That one will do. You’ll be able to see every movement inside. You can sit here drinking tea while watching me put on a shadow play for you. Wouldn’t that be delightful?”
“A shadow play-pfft, hahahaha…”
Prince Ning laughed so hard he could barely breathe. “What a silver tongue. Still, I like it. Hahahaha…”
“You really are an amusing fellow. Fine. We’ll do as you say!”
I covered my face in embarrassment. “Your Highness, you flatter this humble one too much!”
Prince Ning lifted my chin with his folding fan.
“You’re quite handsome too. What a pity I have no taste for men. If you were a woman, I would certainly cherish you properly.”
“Your Highness, you’re teasing me again…”
I tilted my head away and smiled coyly.
Then I crouched down to help the Crown Prince up from the floor.
Yet the instant my hand touched him, the man who had been silent all this time suddenly opened his eyes.
His pupils were dark and deep, cold as ice.
“If you dare lay a finger on me, I will make sure you die without a burial place…”
I shuddered all over in fright and stumbled backward.
“What is it?” Prince Ning asked from behind me.
“Nothing, nothing. He’s just a bit heavy.”
I slung the Crown Prince’s arm over my back and struggled to help him stand, lowering my voice to whisper, “I promise I won’t touch you, but cooperate for now. Otherwise, neither of us is getting out of this today.”
The Crown Prince’s expression paused slightly.
I saw that his face was as pale as paper and his lips had turned blue. He was clearly poisoned.
He closed his eyes and said nothing more, letting me support him.
As I helped him past Prince Ning, Prince Ning stared at me and warned coldly, “If you fail to satisfy me later…”
I flicked my sleeve toward his face, my features piled high with a fawning smile.
“Oh, Your Highness, I’ve been through countless battles. I guarantee you’ll be satisfied. You just sit there happily and watch. Keep your eyes open!”
After helping the Crown Prince into the private room on the second floor, I kicked the door shut with a bang and let out a long breath.
