Chapter 3

I am the Sect’s only Green Tea.

But I never expected the entire Sect to be full of overachieving workaholics.

It’s too much! Everyone is just trying way too hard!

My goal in joining the sect was to sabotage the relationship between the Male Lead and the Female Lead. However, I didn’t expect that the leads would spend all their energy dragging me along to cultivate.

Every day, the Female Lead guides my Internal Energy Cultivation: Greater and Lesser Heavenly Cycles at night, leading me through the Microcosmic and Macrocosmic Orbits. During the day, she makes me swing my sword five thousand times, and at dawn, she takes me running around the mountain peaks.

I wake up earlier than a rooster and go to bed later than a dog.

In less than a month, all that little bit of baby fat on my body has completely vanished.

I’m as exhausted as a dead dog.

Yet, everyone is very satisfied with me.

Even the Master of the sect said to me, “Your Second Senior Sister has been training you in swordplay, and you’ve picked up a few moves by now. You can go and check out the Great Immortal Sect Tournament next month.”

Huh?

Setting everything else aside, I’ve been studying the sword every day, sweating buckets. Whether my swordplay is actually good or not, I don’t know, but my self-confidence is certainly inflated.

So, I proudly held my wooden sword, acting with a somewhat naive confidence. “A tournament? That’s just fighting, right? Then I want to participate too! I don’t want to just stand on the sidelines and watch!”

“They definitely won’t be a match for me! Master, look at these biceps! Hey!”

Master glanced at my thin arms and choked.

He coughed. “…Fujing!”

Second Senior Sister suppressed a smile. “Present.”

“Starting today, teach her Sword Flight.”

Master gave the Female Lead worried instructions. “You must teach her well, so she can run away faster when the time comes!”

I grumbled, “What do you mean ‘run away’? That’s so undignified!”

“Master, just you wait. I’ll definitely beat them to a pulp!”

“Eldest, go to the sect’s inner treasury and get her a set of Golden Silk Soft Jade Armor. It’ll make her more resilient to beatings.”

Master looked at me, hesitating to speak. “This poor, silly child… If we let her out like this, won’t she be beaten to death?”

Me: ?

I was very dissatisfied with those words, so I took my wooden sword and performed a basic sword flourish to show them.

I felt quite smug again.

“I’ve only been here for a little over a month and I already know how to use a sword. Who could possibly beat me?”

I clamored, “I’m a once-in-a-century genius! Who could possibly beat me?”

Everyone was speechless.

It’s over. This kid is just a little dummy.

You could tell from their expressions that they didn’t agree with me at all. If it were possible, they probably even wanted to give me a beating themselves-just to see me sit on the ground in shock, wailing and crying, so I’d learn how cruel the world can be.

But the Female Lead was different.

She was trying very hard to hold back her laughter; her face was turning red from the effort.

Still, she stepped forward, adjusted my grip on the sword, and encouraged me. “Indeed, the path of cultivation lies in diligence. Our Thirteenth Junior Sister is talented as well; her future is promising!”

I nodded vigorously with pride.

Master suddenly realized something. “…So this silly child was spoiled by you!”

The Female Lead pretended not to hear him.

She was an orphan with no parents. When she was only a few years old, she had traveled thousands of miles alone to participate in the sect’s entrance exam.

Because of her extraordinary talent, she successfully joined the Sect.

Even the name ‘Fujing’ was given to her by Master.

In this world, she originally had nothing, so she cultivated with a single-minded focus.

But now, she had this Thirteenth Junior Sister.

Thirteenth Younger Sister was young and a bit silly; she was always clinging to her, acting spoiled and being her little lackey.

“It’s alright, Master.”

The Female Lead spoke with a serious and resolute expression. “I will definitely protect her well and won’t let her get hit.”

Master: “…My point was that you should let her get hit more, so she learns about the wickedness of people!”

The Female Lead didn’t understand; she thought he was speaking in reverse psychology.

She became even more solemn. “Master, please rest assured. As long as I have a single breath left, I will never let anything happen to Thirteenth Younger Sister.”

Such words even moved the other disciples.

My dozen or so Senior Brothers also nodded, their expressions solemn. “Yes, Master, we will definitely protect Thirteenth Junior Sister!”
