Chapter 4

Master left, driven away by our antics.

As he departed, he stumbled along, leaning against a tree and grumbling about feeling lightheaded.

Being the thoughtful disciple I am, I shouted after him, “Master! You’re a high-level cultivator in the Transformation Stage! How can you still get dizzy?”

“Master, let us go find a doctor for you!”

“Master, please don’t try to tough it out!”

Master was in the middle of a Sword Flight to make his escape, but my hollering made his footing waver. He fell right off his sword on the spot.

He was truly being driven to an early grave.

Several times, he let out long, weary sighs.

“…Next time I recruit disciples, I must conduct a comprehensive assessment of their morals, intelligence, physical health, aesthetics, and work ethic.”

He was practically on the verge of tears as he muttered, “To think I only looked at talent… what on earth have I brought into this sect?”

“If she goes out and gets beaten up, what am I supposed to do?”

It was obvious.

Although everyone claimed they were ‘protecting our Thirteenth Junior Sister,’ in their hearts, they were thinking exactly the same thing as Master.

The Female Lead remained calm on the surface.

However, she went to the sect’s inner treasury that very night and withdrew a spiritual sword for me.

My wooden sword was officially retired.

She began teaching me Sword Flight with extreme rigor.

I personally thought Sword Flight was cool, but flying for my life wasn’t.

So, I practiced half-heartedly and flew quite slowly.

In the end, those Bastard Senior Brothers had to take matters into their own hands.

They found some snakes from somewhere, wrapped them around their hands, and chased me down.

Holy crap, holy crap, holy crap!

Snakes!

I was scared out of my wits. I pushed myself to the absolute limit, flying like a maniac on my sword.

As it turned out, I really was gifted.

Even as a beginner, I managed to leave them far behind in the dust.

Seeing such brilliant results-and seeing me screaming and crying in terror-the Senior Brothers were overjoyed and burst into loud laughter.

Then, Fifth Senior Brother got carried away. While smoothing back his hair, the snake wrapped around his hand bit him right on the face.

“Ah! A snake!”

By the time we went to participate in the Sect Grand Competition, Fifth Senior Brother still had two tooth marks on his face.

He had a fair complexion, so these two faint red marks looked rather… suggestive.

Consequently, all along the way, he pulled us aside to repeatedly remind us, “My fiancée is from the Thousand Source Sect. When she arrives later, you must testify to my innocence! I have truly remained chaste for her!”

We were honestly annoyed to death by him.

Wasn’t this simple enough?

I waved my hand dismissively. “Got it, got it. Fifth Senior Brother is pure and innocent!”

Fifth Senior Brother was very satisfied.

He praised me, “Shi San, you usually seem pretty dim-witted, but you’re actually quite reliable at a time like this!”

I waved my hand again. “Leave it to me. You can rest easy.”

And so, as the various immortal sects led their disciples into the arena one after another…

I led a dozen or so Senior Brothers and shouted in unison toward the Thousand Source Sect:

“Sister Lu, hello! Our Fifth Senior Brother’s body is clean! He has remained chaste for you and lived a life of purity!”

Sincerity is always the ultimate killing move.

The leading Elder of the Thousand Source Sect literally slipped and nearly fell over.

As for the rumored fiancée of Fifth Senior Brother, Sister Lu…

Her pretty face flushed a deep, burning red. She looked at us, unable to utter a single word.

“This… you…”

Sister Lu was perhaps too happy, as she even started to stutter. “You guys…”

“Did she not hear us clearly?” Tenth Senior Brother asked, looking a bit confused. “Should we shout it again?”

I nodded. “I think that works.”

So, we did it again.

“Sister Lu! Our Fifth Senior Brother’s body is clean-he has remained chaste for you!”

The result was that Sister Lu turned around and bolted.

She seemed unable to endure it a second longer. She even forgot to use her sword and just ran away on foot.

Fifth Senior Brother looked like he was about to pass out.

“I don’t get it, I just don’t get it.”

We shook our heads, truly unable to understand romantic relationships.

Thus, we had to blame Fifth Senior Brother: “See? It’s all your fault. Our sect’s reputation is in tatters now.”

Fifth Senior Brother couldn’t say a single word.

He really did pass out.
