Marry the NPC with Money, Wife Comes Knocking - Chapter 35
Class time had arrived.
Hua Suihe carried her bag and went to class.
She was also holding textbooks, planning to say goodbye to everyone during the break after her last lesson.
Youyou, sitting in the front row, spoke up and interrupted her teaching rhythm: “Teacher Hua Hua, is this your last class?”
Hua Suihe smiled gently, her tone carrying a touch of regret. “Yes, after this class, I won’t be your teacher anymore.”
Youyou rubbed her eyes with both hands, and silently did a set of eye exercises, her thin shoulders trembling slightly as if she were secretly crying.
“Let’s talk about this after class. Today, we’re going to learn about tea culture etiquette.”
Hua Suihe picked up a piece of chalk, turned around, and wrote on the blackboard.
She didn’t know that the children behind her were going wild with excitement. Youyou poked at her eyes, holding back the urge to roll her eyeballs.
The students behind were laughing so hard their tongues fell out and hit the desk.
Even more, some who had been at odds with their deskmates for a long time but had pretended to get along for a month were about to let their true selves show. One, in his happiness, even tore off his deskmate’s head on the spot.
Holding Xiao Tao’s head in his hands, the little boy grinned in silent laughter. Turning to look, he saw that Teacher Hua was about to turn around after finishing the last stroke on the board.
His deskmate punched him, failing to control his strength and sent him flying, then hurriedly grabbed his own head and put it back on.
When Hua Suihe turned back to look at her students, she saw the students who had been disciplined, cute, and obedient for the past month now fighting.
The boy who had been punched flew back, pushed Xiao Tao off his chair, sat on top of him, and grabbed him by the neck.
Hua Suihe nearly lost her breath, dropped the chalk on the desk, and quickly ran down to break up the fight. “What are you doing! No fighting in class!”
Hua Suihe grabbed the boy by the shoulders and pulled him up. When she looked down at Xiao Tao, the bullied boy, she saw a ring of blood seeping from his neck, scaring her so much her vision went black again and again.
She quickly crouched down and was about to check the blood with her hand, but the boy sprang energetically back three or four meters, keeping a very safe distance from Hua Suihe.
He rubbed his neck with both hands, wiped off the blood, and after that, his neck seemed perfectly fine, making Hua Suihe unsure whether it was blood or red ink.
“Xiao Tao, are you alright?”
Xiao Tao stared at her with wide eyes, then held his head with both hands and shook it.
Hua Suihe didn’t understand and nervously asked, “Do you have a headache?”
As she spoke, she tried to approach him again.
Xiao Tao quickly stood up and ran to the other corner of the classroom, determined not to let Hua Suihe touch him, as if he were avoiding something terrifying.
Hua Suihe understood-he must be afraid of the teacher scolding him for disrupting class. Since he didn’t look injured, Hua Suihe turned her gaze to the bully, her tone cold and stern: “Chai Chai, why did you hit your classmate?”
At this moment, a fierce black aura surrounded Hua Suihe-it was Su Sheng’s black mist, always clinging to her.
Some students, making sure they hadn’t been noticed, slipped their tongues back into their mouths and watched in secret.
Chai Chai lowered his head, black tears falling to the ground and dissipating into the air.
Hua Suihe frowned and took a small step back, instinctively holding her breath. She didn’t understand why there was suddenly such a foul smell. She looked around, “Who brought something into the classroom?”
Chai Chai wiped away his tears and stubbornly raised his head, deciding to complain to the teacher. “He bullied me first.”
As the smell in the air faded, Hua Suihe turned her attention back to Chai Chai. “Oh? How did he bully you?”
“He…” Chai Chai paused, the Puppet Threads hidden inside him taking effect, and the expression in his eyes suddenly dimmed. “He secretly cut my clothes while I was sleeping.”
He turned around, showing his back to Hua Suihe (Hua Hua). Just below his left shoulder, there was a hole with a jagged cut.
Hua Suihe took one look and fell silent. The troublemaker had not only cut Chai Chai’s clothes to pieces, but had also drawn a big red X with a red pen on the skin exposed through the hole.
So mean.
“I didn’t!” the troublemaker protested loudly, scurrying back to confront Chai Chai. “Your clothes were obviously cut up by your dad, what does it have to do with me? I just lifted it up to have a look!”
The troublemaker didn’t dare tilt his head too much and continued accusing, “You’re so hot-tempered, and just because of this you wanted to hit me, ‘pull my head’ (child’s word for choking/strangling)!”
Hua Suihe was getting a headache from their bickering. “Alright, you’re both at fault. No more fighting.”
She wasn’t their homeroom teacher, and after this lesson, she would be leaving.
She hadn’t noticed any issues between them before, so she didn’t know if it was an old grudge or just a sudden argument today.
Youyou saw the situation and came over to help mediate.
“Teacher Hua Hua, they’re really good friends. It’s just a little disagreement, if they talk it out, they’ll make up.”
Hua Suihe patted Youyou’s head comfortingly and then looked with some helplessness at the two stubborn kids. At least she had once passed the teacher qualification exam.
“Go sit down at your desks. No more arguing. Let’s finish this lesson first, can you do that?”
“Yes.”
“…Yes.”
Hua Suihe watched them sit down before returning to the podium to continue teaching, glancing over at them from time to time. Seeing them both behaving and leaving each other alone, she finally relaxed.
After an hour and a half, the lesson ended. Hua Suihe asked Youyou to hand out the pens, then called the two quarreling boys up to the podium.
She spoke with them, helping them understand their mistakes and guiding them to apologize to each other.
Hua Suihe took two milk chocolates from her pocket (originally snacks she carried for Ye Susheng, now given to the children).
“Technically, since you both made mistakes in class, I shouldn’t be giving you candy. But this is my last lesson here, and you’ll still be together for several more years. So I hope you can shake hands, make peace, and get along from now on. Can you do that?”
The troublemaker immediately tore open the chocolate wrapper and stuffed it all in his mouth at once. After a whole lesson to cool off, he could nod vigorously now. “I understand, Teacher Hua Hua.”
Chai Chai held his chocolate tightly, as if he wanted to melt it with the warmth of his palm.
After Youyou finished handing out the pens, she still had two left. She didn’t place them on the boys’ desks, but brought them back to Hua Suihe.
Hua Suihe put the cartoon pens in their hands. “Alright, these are little gifts from your teacher. I hope you both study hard from now on.”
Ye Susheng was waiting right outside the door as soon as class ended. Seeing Hua Suihe coaxing the two kids, he nearly scratched the doorframe to pieces.
What were those two little brats up to!
Hua Suihe knew Ye Susheng had been waiting outside, so after saying careful goodbyes to the class, she walked out of the classroom with a light step. Ye Susheng naturally took her hand. “Class is over, class is over~ Let’s tidy up and go home!”
“Teacher Hua Hua!”
Chai Chai ran over clutching his chocolate, poking his head out from the classroom doorway.
“Teacher Hua Hua, I want to invite you to my house!”
