My Aloof Heartthrob Stalks Me Every Day - Chapter 3
The bathroom door opened the next second, and Shen Zechuan stepped out.
He was bare from the waist up, with only a towel wrapped around his hips.
Hidden beneath the bed, I squeezed my eyes shut, too afraid to look.
A few seconds later, I couldn’t resist parting the fingers over my eyes.
Droplets slid from his elegant collarbones, traced the firm lines of his muscles, and vanished beneath the towel at his waist.
Broad shoulders. Narrow waist. Long legs.
I had seen countless posts on the university forum claiming Shen Zechuan had an incredible body. Now that I had witnessed it myself, I knew they had not exaggerated.
My gaze drifted involuntarily below his abdomen, to the bulge beneath the towel.
People on the forum had made discreet guesses about that too.
He was not small.
My cheeks heated, and I silently looked away.
Shen Zechuan walked to the bed, picked up his phone, and answered it. I caught words like “laboratory” and “data.”
There were endless legends about him at A University. While other freshmen were still being sold phone cards and electric kettles by upperclassmen, a top biology professor had made an exception and recruited Shen Zechuan into a core laboratory. He had already taken part in several important experiments and published papers in academic journals.
Even the university president had publicly declared, “At A University, where talented students abound, Shen Zechuan is still the undisputed genius.”
And at that very moment, I was under that genius’s bed, staring blankly at his ankle.
A message from S popped up.
“How’s it going, baby?”
“I’m hiding under my dream guy’s bed.”
S: “Under the bed? Weren’t you in the wardrobe?”
I complained pitifully, “I tried to sneak out, but then his phone rang… I had no choice but to hide here. My luck is awful today.”
“His feet are really pale and clean, though. His skin is so nice.”
The toes in front of me curled for no apparent reason.
S: “What?! Baby, are you smelling his feet?!”
“Why are you so worked up?”
S: “N-Nothing! I hid under your bed before and smelled your feet too! They were soft and sweet. I wanted to lick them.”
S had been inside my home?
“So you’re the one who put the milk and fruit in my fridge?”
“Yes!”
“And you cleaned my room whenever it mysteriously got messy?”
“Yes, yes!”
“You’re also the one who washed my bras and underwear, dried them, and put them back in my wardrobe?”
“Yes, yes, yes! There was one pair you’d worn that I liked so much, I took it home for my collection!”
My eyes widened.
All the things I had thought I’d done while sleepwalking had actually been his work.
I typed at once, “Do you have any idea how… how perfectly you understand me? I hate housework. Thank you so much for doing it!”
S: “I’m so happy! Baby praised me again! I can do anything. All you need to do is be happy, baby. Leave everything else to me!”
We chatted enthusiastically for a while before I remembered that I was still lying under Shen Zechuan’s bed.
“When is Senior Shen going to leave? I’m tired of lying here.”
The moment I sent it, clothes rustled above my head.
At some point, Shen Zechuan had ended his call. He changed, then left the apartment.
The front door shut.
I let out a long breath and crawled from beneath the bed.
After wandering around his home, I discovered that it was absurdly clean. Ingredients were lined up neatly inside the refrigerator.
The only exception was a whole row of strawberry yogurt.
My eyes lit up.
That was my favorite flavor too.
Another thing my dream guy and I had in common!
Know yourself and know your enemy, and you will never be defeated.
S was right. Spying really worked!
After reading ten books titled *How to Follow the Object of Your Affection Without Getting Caught*, I officially transformed into a stalker.
I frequently trailed Shen Zechuan around.
His days were orderly and full. Someone confessed their love to him every day, and without exception, he turned them down mercilessly.
Watching those girls leave in despair, I congratulated myself for not charging in recklessly.
As long as he had not rejected me, I still had a chance.
The more I learned by following him, the more outstanding he seemed. He could cook, play basketball, swim, speak eight languages, play the piano, take photographs…
If I had not been secretly tailing him, I would have suspected he was deliberately showing off for me.
I became so busy following Shen Zechuan that I neglected S.
S complained resentfully, “Baby has been ignoring me lately.”
“I’ve been busy following Shen Zechuan.”
The slow bird had to start early. With so many people pursuing him, how could I succeed without putting in extra effort?
S: “Why not just tie him up and bring him home?”
I considered it seriously. “That doesn’t seem right. What if he doesn’t like me and ends up hating me even more?”
S: “Easy. Handcuff him, lock him in your room, and kiss him until he likes you.”
It certainly was simple and direct.
But the honorable, upright Senior Shen probably would not respond well to it.
After some thought, I decided not to take S’s advice.
I kept following Shen Zechuan.
S urged me to strike up a conversation, but I thought it was too soon. It did not feel safe yet.
Three days later:
S: “That’s enough, baby. Go talk to him.”
Me: “Wait a little longer.”
One week later:
S: “Good baby, it’s been long enough. Go flirt with him. You’ll definitely succeed.”
Me: “Wait a little longer.”
Another week passed.
S: “Baby, are you planning to wait until your next life to speak to him?”
Me: “There’s no hurry. I have my own rhythm.”
One afternoon, I followed Shen Zechuan into a small grove on campus.
He suddenly vanished.
I looked around.
Then a cool voice sounded behind me.
“Why have you been following me, fellow student?”
