My Boyfriend Tops the Horror Game Rankings—and I'm the Ghost in His Dungeon - Chapter 3
“Are you a player?”
The tall, broad man was covered in muscle, his eyes sharp and vicious as a hawk’s.
My loose hair was braided now. Aside from my unusually pale face, I looked no different from a player.
But a suggestive smile soon curled his lips.
“You have beautiful eyes.”
Players all had black eyes. Only the monsters had gray ones.
He had seen through me.
“Never thought an SSS-rank dungeon would have such a pretty female ghost. I wonder what you’d be like to play with.”
He licked his lips and came closer.
The chat erupted.
“What a creep. He’ll even go after a dungeon monster?”
“Most SSS-rank monsters are disgusting. Who wouldn’t be tempted after finally meeting a cute little ghost girl?”
“She can’t get away. I recognize that player—he ranks twenty-third. He’s strong, but he’s also a notorious pervert.”
“Why do I suddenly not want to watch this? Run, ghost baby!”
“Where did this saint come from, feeling sorry for a monster? I’ve never seen an erotic show inside a horror dungeon. My pants are already off.”
“You’re more disgusting than the monsters. Is sex the only thing in your head?”
I tried to run, but the man blocked me before I could take a step.
The split-mouth doll immediately hopped in front of me and shouted for me to escape. Then it sprang at the man, mouth stretching wide enough to swallow him whole.
He sneered, drew a knife, and slashed its mouth and eyes.
“With fighting skills like that, you should be ashamed to show your face.”
Laughing cruelly, he turned back to me.
“Be good and you won’t have to end up like it.”
“I’ll be gentle with you, sweetheart.”
Some viewers could no longer bear to watch and urged me to run.
I did not move.
The closer he came, the more openly his sticky gaze roamed over me.
“That’s right. You can’t escape, so you might as well behave and enjoy it.”
His hand was about to touch me.
Then his expression froze.
He stared in disbelief at the spike of ice jutting from his arm. Frost spread rapidly toward the rest of his body.
“What did you do to me?”
Someone in the chat recognized it.
“Isn’t that the Frost Curse? You can only get it by killing the boss of the City of Ice!”
“Only top-ten players can beat that boss. How does a weak little monster have an item like that?”
The man’s face went white with cold. “Impossible!”
He reacted quickly, using another item to halt the spreading ice. But I had already pulled out more.
“Direwolf Claw, Rose Cross, Final Judgment, Witch’s Eye… Those are all SSS-rank items!”
The entire chat sucked in a breath.
I hurled them one after another as though they cost nothing.
At last, fear appeared on the man’s face. He had never seen so many SSS-rank items, much less faced them all at once. His defenses collapsed, followed by his will to fight.
The system announced, “Player Liu Zhipeng has been eliminated.”
One thousand Terror Coins instantly appeared in my account, the reward for eliminating a high-ranked player.
The chat remained silent for a long time, too stunned for anyone to type.
Finally, someone asked weakly,
“Was that real?”
“It has to be a bug. Why does a weak monster have all those premium items?”
“I’ve seen that Rose Cross before. God Su got one after killing a dungeon boss. I’ve never seen anyone else obtain it.”
“She threw those items like they were free. That was amazing! I’ve never seen anyone fight so extravagantly.”
“Only God Su could afford to burn through items like that, but he’s so strong he rarely needs them.”
“What is going on?”
Unaware that the chat was in an uproar over my items, I hurried to pick the split-mouth doll up from the ground.
“Hold on, Bunny. I’ll get you to the cabin and sew you back together.”
I searched my inventory. The SSS-rank items that others would pay fortunes to own numbered in the hundreds for me.
Su Yan had given them all to me.
I had never needed them in a beginner-tier dungeon, so I had almost forgotten they existed.
I found a navigation item and quickly followed its directions to the cabin. Once inside, I located a needle and thread and stitched the split-mouth doll together.
Only then did I breathe a sigh of relief.
The doll stared at me in worship.
“I didn’t know you were so powerful! Why didn’t you use those things earlier? We wouldn’t have needed to fear anyone!”
“I only just remembered them.”
Before long, the faint hum of a car sounded outside.
Players had arrived.
With so many items at my disposal, I was no longer as afraid as before. The split-mouth doll shook out its rabbit ears and bounced onto the table, claws waving.
“This time, we’ll scare those players senseless! I’m going to eat them all!”
“Don’t worry, Bunny. We’ll definitely succeed.”
I stood at the third-floor window, considering the best way to frighten them.
Then I caught sight of a familiar figure.
My entire body went rigid.
My boyfriend was in this dungeon!
