Summary
When Qin Lang’s family goes bankrupt, his older brother runs away rather than spend three years with creditor Bo Shi, leaving Qin Lang to take his place. Bo Shi expects a docile substitute, only for Qin Lang to turn their arrangement upside down. Matters grow stranger when Qin Lang’s clingy gaming buddy begins confiding in him about a troublesome “puppy”—and the details sound suspiciously familiar. With six months of memories missing, an unresolved one-night encounter, and Butler Wang nursing his own romantic grudge, Qin Lang must untangle who did what to whom before paying off the family debt becomes far more personal than either man expected.
