My Little Puppy Snake - Chapter 3
Even without his memories, Yin Luo never forgot the duties of a kept canary.
That morning, he knelt beside the bed to wake me.
He wore nothing under his pink, heart-covered apron.
My heart ached for him. Afraid he would catch cold, I hurried to find him some clothes.
The corner of Yin Luo’s mouth twitched. Looking deeply aggrieved, he tugged at my hand.
“Master, I’m about to shed. Clothes rub against my skin and make me itchy. They’re uncomfortable.”
I looked at the linen shirt and sweatshirt in my hands.
Neither was made from the expensive fabric he used to wear.
It felt as if a bucket of ice water had been dumped over my head, forcing me to face the gulf between us. At a loss, I lowered my head.
“I’m sorry. I don’t have anything better…”
Yin Luo hurriedly hugged me from behind.
“Master, I don’t want clothes.”
“I suffer from skin hunger. All I need is for Master to hold me more.”
He didn’t despise me for being poor. All he wanted was my embrace.
My heart went soft, though it ached a little too.
He made breakfast.
The bread and eggs in his own bowl were charred black. He put the barely intact pieces in mine, then offered a timid explanation.
“Sorry, Master. I’m too stupid. I forgot how to cook.”
That only made me feel guiltier.
A beautiful kept canary like him had never needed to do any of this. All he’d had to do was breathe.
With me, he had fallen from a gilded canary to one made of cheap wire.
I pushed the burnt plate aside and placed my serving between us.
“It’s fine. We’ll share this one.”
He kept holding me and refused to feed himself.
I picked up the bread and took a bite, then held the other side to his lips.
Instead, he caught my wrist and turned the bread around. He bit precisely where my mouth had been.
A warm, sweet scent bloomed in the air, rich with milky warmth.
“There’s some on Master’s face too.”
His little forked tongue slipped out. Like a puppy, he licked the corner of my mouth and swept away the crumbs.
His beautiful peach-blossom eyes held mine.
They gleamed pink, like a spring sky filled with falling cherry blossoms, and left an itch beneath my skin.
But they also made my heart hurt.
He was too skilled at this.
The boss had trained him to be this way.
He must have suffered so much.
Beautiful and fragile, yet covered in old wounds. Who knew how many times he had been broken and forced to heal?
I cupped his face and kissed his forehead gently.
“This is your home. If you don’t like doing these things, you never have to do them again.”
His breathing stilled for a moment.
Then he crushed me against him. One hand slipped beneath my shirt and pressed against my lower belly.
His husky voice curled into my ear.
“That’s not it. I love it, Master. I love you so much.”
“I want everything inside Master’s belly to be mine, now and forever.”
That sounded a little strange…
