My Little Puppy Snake - Chapter 2
It had been raining that night.
I was patrolling the edge of our territory when he burst out of the woods near the villas.
I didn’t have time to turn the wheel. I hit him.
The moment I saw his face, my knees nearly gave out.
Oh, hell.
It was the boss’s lover, Yin Luo.
A beautiful snake beastman.
Our boss was ruthless, the kind of man who killed without blinking. Yet he spoiled Yin Luo rotten.
Whenever I saw them from a distance, the boss would be lighting his cigarettes and pouring his drinks. Whether someone lived or died could hinge on a single careless word from Yin Luo.
If the boss found out I had run over the man he treasured most…
I didn’t dare imagine how many pieces he’d break me into.
Voices sounded in the distance.
I steeled myself, lifted Yin Luo into my car, and took him home.
He looked tall and slender, but he was surprisingly heavy in my arms.
I stripped off his wet clothes. Bruises and bloody welts covered his pale, delicate skin, and scales had surfaced along his neck.
They said beastmen only revealed their true forms when they were badly injured.
He woke while I was applying medicine.
His hand clamped around my wrist as he prepared to strike. His whole body radiated hostility, his slit pupils razor-sharp—until his gaze touched me. Then they rounded at once, confusion replacing the violence.
“Am I dreaming?”
The crash had damaged his brain. He had amnesia.
All he could do was stare at me stupidly and cry, looking hurt and aggrieved.
As if he had suffered so much already.
The guys said the boss was always rough with him, so loud no one dared go near. Even his bedroom had been wrecked more than once.
No wonder his body was covered in marks.
How could anyone bear to treat such a beautiful snake that way?
I had raised a little snake when I was a child. One day it vanished, and I cried as I searched everywhere for it.
My chest ached at the memory.
Suddenly, I didn’t want to send Yin Luo back.
And I didn’t dare.
So I secretly kept the boss’s lover.
“Your name is Yin Luo. You’re the… puppy snake I raised.”
He nodded obediently and nestled into my arms. He nuzzled my neck like a puppy, sniffing me all over.
“Master smells so good…”
“Can your puppy snake sleep with you?”
My heart hammered. Blushing, I stroked his scales.
“Then you have to get better soon.”
Yin Luo’s sweet smile suddenly froze. His face went white, and he wrapped himself in the blanket.
From beneath it came a muffled sob. “Don’t look, Master. I’m ugly right now… Boo-hoo…”
So cute.
Even with amnesia, he still remembered that he had to be beautiful.
