Reply 345: This thread has some serious staying power. Congratulations, OP. After three whole years, you’ve finally gotten close to your little human.

Reply 347: OP, why wouldn’t yours eat before? I haven’t bought a translator yet, and my little human won’t eat anything I give him either.

OP: Check whether you forgot the salt. The first thing mine said after we got a translator was, “I’m begging you, please put some salt on the meat”…

Reply 350: OP, you’re a genius! He ate it, and now he’s holding up his bowl because he wants more! Waaaah, it hasn’t been easy. My baby is so adorable! He even gave me a huge hug!

Reply 356: I’m going to fight every last one of you human owners!

Reply 357: +1

The demonic memories returned. For two years, I had eaten meat and vegetables without a trace of seasoning. It had been an age of nightmares.

And that was the care advice in those two lousy books!

They said the meat had to be cooked. They never said it needed seasoning!

OP: Waaaah, I’m so jealous of Reply 350. Mine trembles in terror whenever I hug her…

Reply 377: That can’t be right. You’ve had her for three years.

Reply 378: My baby was desensitized in two weeks. Is yours especially timid? But normally, once they’re willing to eat, that means they’ve gotten used to you…

Reply 380: …I think I’ve spotted the problem. OP, what is your true form?

OP: A cobra.

Reply 381: …

…

Reply 400: …

Reply 401: Didn’t OP say she hugs her every day…?

Reply 402: Your little human only survived because she has nerves of steel!

Reply 403: Cobras keep humans too?

Reply 404: You dangerous anomalies shouldn’t casually keep humans! You’ll frighten the poor little things to death!

OP: QAQ!

When I first arrived at my keeper’s home, I truly thought my days were numbered.

Who could stay calm while a gigantic cobra wrapped them in a death coil every day and flicked its tongue in their face?

Eventually, though, I got used to her. I even began crawling voluntarily into the middle of her coiled body.

Especially in summer.

Normally, it was the furry anomalies who liked keeping humans. Humans accepted those species much more easily too.

Venomous snakes like my keeper almost never took human pets.

But humans were intelligent creatures.

After she spent several days coiled around me without eating me, I slowly accepted the situation.

I thought I was emergency rations.

But year after year passed. She still did not eat me. Instead, she cooked for me.

Only then did it finally dawn on me.

I… was being kept?

Kept by a cobra?

My shock had been no less than that of everyone on the forum.
