Saving Xie Fuzhou - Chapter 1
Chapter 1
I slept until I woke up naturally.
Then an enraged shout by my ear jolted me awake. “Xie Fuzhou, today I will kill you, you wicked fiend!”
The moment I opened my eyes, I saw two figures, one in black and one in white, locked in battle, sword light flashing everywhere.
Xie Fuzhou? Wasn’t that the villain from the cultivation novel I’d been reading before bed last night?
Damn it. I’d only skimmed a few pages. I hadn’t even gotten the gist of the plot.
Wherever the sword energy swept, sand and stones flew, forcing my eyes shut.
Behind me, a girl in white was so anxious her eyes were brimming with tears.
“Senior Sister, what do we do? Senior Brother Shen won’t be in danger, will he?”
Shen Xiao was the male lead’s name. Somehow, I had stumbled straight into the duel between the male lead and the villain.
Before I could say anything, another earth-shattering sword cry rang out from over there.
Before the dust had even settled, a figure lay on the ground, beaten to a bloody pulp.
His white robes were soaked through with blood.
The little junior sister in white burst into tears on the spot and tugged at my sleeve.
“Senior Sister, Senior Brother Shen, he-”
There was no time to think. Saving him came first.
I flew over, hooked an arm around the waist of the person on the ground, hauled him over my shoulder, and sprinted away at full speed.
When I passed the little junior sister, she was so stunned by my speed that her round little mouth fell open.
I had no breath to spare, so I shot her a look that said, Why aren’t you running yet?
Carrying Shen Xiao, I ran for an entire day and night, covering three hundred li.
To shake off Xie Fuzhou’s pursuit, I brought him into the depths of the mountains.
[That was close. I almost got bounced to death.]
Huh? Who was talking?
I set Shen Xiao down. His bloodstained brows and eyes were tightly shut, cold and sharp as shattered jade.
His white robes had been torn to rags, revealing firm, well-proportioned lines of muscle and bone.
For a moment, my eyes were very busy.
Then pity welled up in me. I crouched down, pinched the philtrum beneath his nose, and called softly, “Shen Xiao… Senior Brother Shen, wake up…”
The man’s tightly shut eyes opened. Darkness churned wildly within them.
Complicated, eerie demonic markings gradually surfaced on his forehead.
Belatedly, I sensed the subtle, uncanny shift in the atmosphere.
Cold and pale, he curved his lips into a hard smile. His voice was chillingly oppressive.
“Who are you calling?”
Heaven help me, I’m dead! You’re a big, bad villain-why the hell are you wearing white robes?!
Chapter 2
The darkness in Xie Fuzhou’s eyes slowly turned scarlet, and thick demonic energy poured out of him in waves.
I crouched there, drenched in cold sweat from fright. After brief consideration, between running away and begging for mercy, I chose to stand up first.
To my surprise, the moment I rose, my numb legs gave out and I collapsed.
Xie Fuzhou was half-leaning against a rock, watching me at his leisure.
I plunged headfirst onto him and landed mouth-to-mouth.
Xie Fuzhou had a frosty sort of beauty, yet his lips were upturned like a crescent moon, faintly red, soft, and very nice to kiss.
For a second, I lost control and sucked on them.
Maybe it was my imagination, but the demonic energy that had been overflowing everywhere seemed to disperse a little, and even the demonic markings faded with it.
Only when I met his wide, startled eyes did I snap out of my daze.
“Sorry, sorry, I didn’t mean to…”
As I backed away, I tried to wipe his mouth with my sleeve.
The instant I pulled back, the demonic energy surged. Xie Fuzhou looked like he was about to turn into a full-blown demon lord, and he reached out to strangle me.
I hurriedly grabbed his hand and kissed him again.
The demonic energy dispersed.
I got up, and the demonic energy surged.
I kissed him, and the demonic energy dispersed.
I got up again, and the demonic energy surged.
I kissed him again, and the demonic energy dispersed.
There was no other way. I held his head in place and kissed him like crazy.
Kiss, kiss, kiss!
I would kiss him until the chickens finished pecking up all the rice, until the dogs licked up all the flour, until fire burned through a lock. I refused to believe Xie Fuzhou could still turn into a demon lord after that!
As I kept kissing him, I belatedly realized that Xie Fuzhou was actually being obedient.
I snuck a glance. The tips of his ears were so red they looked ready to drip blood, and his mouth was too occupied to speak.
Yet I heard a voice:
[She’s so cute! She smells so good! I want to keep kissing her forever!]
