Chapter 50

Boyfriend?

The boy and the girl were both stunned.

The girl stood up instinctively, looking back and forth between the two of them, her eyes widening. “That’s not right, is it? Didn’t Haotian say he wasn’t dating anyone? Why…”

She realized something and looked on in shock.

The boy’s lips trembled as he stared at Yi Haotian in disbelief.

The relationship between him and Yi Haotian was, at least in his eyes, a committed one. Otherwise, they wouldn’t have done so many intimate things, and he wouldn’t have given Yi Haotian his first time.

Furthermore, every time Yi Haotian addressed him, he used terms like “baby.”

But this man, who was bundled up fairly tightly, was actually claiming to be Yi Haotian’s boyfriend too?

Then what was he!?

“Yi Haotian, what exactly is going on?” The boy already had the answer in his heart, but when he turned his head, tears still pooled stubbornly in his eyes.

He even hoped for a self-deceiving explanation.

Seeing his secrets exposed and his world crashing down right there in the restaurant, Yi Haotian’s heart began to race, and his face burned with shame. He had never experienced a scene like this before. Panic surged through him, and his jaw tightened, muscles bulging slightly.

At this point, if Yi Haotian didn’t realize he had been set up, he would be a total idiot.

He had to stabilize their emotions first-at the very least, he couldn’t let everyone else watch the spectacle. Thinking quickly, Yi Haotian took the initiative and said coldly, “What nonsense are you talking about? Think about who I am before you speak, alright? We’ll settle any issues later. For now, tell me: who exactly told you to come here?”

Though his words were a bit frantic, his tone remained forceful.

The two people being questioned looked at each other before answering him. “It was Yan Jinge.”

“Yan Jinge sent me a text.”

“…He sent me one too. I only came because I saw it and was worried.”

Yi Haotian was stunned.

Yan Jinge!?

It was actually his doing!

Yi Haotian guessed that Yan Jinge must have been eating at this restaurant as well and sent the messages after spotting him. He wanted to find Yan Jinge, but people in the restaurant had already recognized him and had been enjoying the show for a while.

Moreover, given the current situation, it wasn’t a good time for Yi Haotian to get into an argument with Yan Jinge.

-What if Yan Jinge said something else he shouldn’t? Wouldn’t the losses outweigh the gains?

After weighing his options, Yi Haotian immediately decided to take them and leave.

He quickly put on his sunglasses and hat, wrapping himself up tightly. He led the three of them away, lowering his head to send a message to his manager, but accidentally bumped into someone-that person grabbed Yi Haotian’s arm, face clouded with gloom as they demanded, “I guess I was right to come. Who are these people?”

Everyone: “???”

Wait.

One or two was one thing.

But here comes a third one!!!

Who is this person now!!!

Just how many people was Yi Haotian seeing!!!

Damn, if things are going to be this exciting, I’m not even going to eat!

The onlookers sitting near Yi Haotian, who had witnessed the entire development, were absolutely floored.

One man even spat out his water and started grabbing napkins frantically to wipe the table.

Yi Haotian’s reaction was also very fast; he grabbed the newcomer. “I’ll explain later.” He hurried out with the group. However, this incident left everyone in the restaurant wearing expressions of pure gossip.

“What just happened?”

“Do you know Yi Haotian? That young idol.”

“Yeah.”

“Apparently, he’s been seeing a lot of people, both men and women. Just now, several of his little lovers bumped into each other and came to find him. That scene was legendary!”

“Holy crap!” the other person exclaimed. “If I’d known, I would’ve taken a window seat on this side too.”

The originally quiet restaurant suddenly became noisy.

Waiters stepped forward to help, but they couldn’t suppress the crowd’s intense desire to watch the drama.

Listening to the constant chatter around him, Yan Jinge didn’t even need to look to know that people on Weibo were probably already starting to leak the story.

-After all, this was Yi Haotian, a popular rising star.

And the scandal was incredibly juicy.

Sure enough, people had already posted the incident on various short-video platforms. Many marketing accounts on Weibo, never ones to miss out on drama, caught wind of it and began reposting with “popcorn” emojis.

Soon, hashtags like #YiHaotianPlayboyExposed and #ThaiRestaurant were trending.

[…What is this? Is this for real?]

[I’m dying laughing. Seeing people show up one after another in the video, then everyone looking at each other in total confusion… You couldn’t even write this in a novel! Hahaha.]

[What do I do? The secondhand embarrassment is too real. I’m starting to feel awkward for him.]

[So cringey my toes are curling enough to grip the artifacts in the Forbidden City.]

[Wait, what’s going on? Why is it Yi Haotian? Didn’t he say he wasn’t dating?]

[The person above is too naive. You actually believed what he said?]

After finishing his meal with Song Zhengjun, Yan Jinge returned home. Once he had freshened up, he lay in bed to enjoy the spectacle of Yi Haotian’s downfall.

Before long, he received a message from an unknown number.

[Yan Jinge, you’ve really done it this time. You set me up like this and then blacklisted me? Who do you think you are? Do you think you can do whatever you want just because you have a sugar daddy?]

It seemed it was Yi Haotian.

[I’m sorry, I don’t know who you are, I don’t know what you’re talking about, and I certainly don’t know where you got my number.] The corners of Yan Jinge’s mouth curled up. [If you’re suffering from these kinds of delusions, why don’t you see a doctor sooner? If you send me another harassing message like this, I’m calling the police.]
Yan Jinge took a screenshot, blocked the number, and set his phone to Do Not Disturb.

He executed the sequence of actions with practiced ease.

Was this a joke?

He wasn’t an idiot. He obviously wouldn’t be foolish enough to engage in a text conversation with Yi Haotian and admit that he was the one who had called those people over. Wouldn’t that be handing the man evidence on a silver platter?

As Yan Jinge was lost in thought, Song Zhengjun finished his shower and stepped out of the bathroom.

There was no telling what kind of nonsense was going through Song Zhengjun’s head.

This time, he had come out without wearing a single stitch of clothing. A mosaic of censorship seemed to hover over the most critical area, drawing all of Yan Jinge’s attention.

“I like sleeping naked. You don’t mind, do you?” Song Zhengjun asked with an incredibly affected air.

Yan Jinge: “…I don’t mind.”

Song Zhengjun lifted the covers and slid into bed.

Pretending to be nonchalant, he held his tablet, tapping here and there aimlessly before leaning over toward Yan Jinge’s phone. “What are you doing?”

Yan Jinge replied, “Watching Yi Haotian make a fool of himself.”

“Tell me about it?” Song Zhengjun suggested.

So, Yan Jinge shared the comments regarding Yi Haotian with him.

After Yi Haotian had sent the message to Yan Jinge, his team had finally reacted. They issued a collective denial, claiming that Yi Haotian had been filming a short video at the time. The premise of the video, they claimed, was to pretend to be a player to see how bystanders would react.

However, the public wasn’t that easy to fool.

Yi Haotian’s anti-fans, in particular, were having a field day.

“If you say you were filming a short video, then I want to see the finished product. Post it quickly. Let us have a look, thanks.”

“? Pretending? His reaction at the time looked pretty real to me. If he had this kind of realistic acting in his usual roles, he wouldn’t still be stuck as just a ‘traffic star,’ would he?”

“The antis are back at it again, trying to stir up trouble. Our Big Brother is clearly working so hard, why can’t you just leave him alone?”

After a while, Song Zhengjun let out a fake yawn and asked, “It’s getting late. Shall we sleep?”

“Mm.”

Yan Jinge reached out and turned off the bedside lamp.

In the darkness.

Yan Jinge set his phone aside, and the two of them lay almost shoulder to shoulder.

The room was quiet, filled only with the sound of each other’s breathing. Yan Jinge couldn’t fall asleep immediately. He rolled over to face Song Zhengjun and took his hand.

Song Zhengjun turned his head to look at him.

His palms were covered in sweat, quickly dampening Yan Jinge’s own palm.

Yan Jinge asked, “Are you that nervous?”

Song Zhengjun: “…”

Song Zhengjun remained silent, but his breathing grew heavier. He moved closer and kissed Yan Jinge in the dark. Yan Jinge tilted his head slightly, and the two naturally drew together.

Before long.

Song Zhengjun resorted to his old tricks. His thumb brushed lightly over a certain spot as he whispered, “Make a sound for me.”

Yan Jinge: “…”

Yan Jinge rarely did things like this. His reactions to Song Zhengjun’s actions were incredibly green; for the most part, he would just bite his lower lip and lean his head against Song Zhengjun, only letting out soft whimpers when he could no longer bear it.

Now that Song Zhengjun had said those words, Yan Jinge’s face flushed instantly.

He refused in a low voice, “No.”

Song Zhengjun didn’t force the issue.

After a moment, he proactively burrowed under the covers.

Yan Jinge was startled. “What are you doing?” For once, a hint of panic crossed his face as he reached out to grab the duvet. But immediately after, Yan Jinge’s body stiffened, and he was rendered speechless.

The hand that had been gripping the covers tightly suddenly lost all its strength.

His slender neck arched slightly, like a swan…

Yan Jinge didn’t make a sound until Song Zhengjun emerged from under the covers, but he was covered in sweat.

Song Zhengjun propped himself up on one hand beside Yan Jinge, making a move to kiss him.

Yan Jinge snapped back to his senses and nearly jumped. He pushed the other man away repeatedly, his expression full of distaste. “If you dare kiss me, you’re dead… Go brush your teeth.” He followed up with a critique: “You’re sick.”

Song Zhengjun let out a low chuckle.

His eyes were dark. Instead of listening to Yan Jinge and going to the bathroom, he stared at the man before him by the moonlight. The tip of his scarlet tongue poked out, slowly licking the corner of his lips as he said hoarsely, “Yeah, I am sick… but you really do taste delicious.”

Yan Jinge: “…”

Yan Jinge was momentarily stunned.

…What the hell kind of line was that?

Yan Jinge didn’t know whether to laugh or cry. He raised a hand to cover Song Zhengjun’s face. “Stop talking.”

Song Zhengjun’s breath brushed against Yan Jinge’s palm.

He was handsome, and with his broad forehead exposed and his beautiful eyes staring intently at Yan Jinge through his fingers, combined with the fact that they had just shared such intimacy and Song Zhengjun had said those words…

Yan Jinge’s gaze involuntarily shifted, too embarrassed to meet Song Zhengjun’s eyes.

His heart was racing.

But it was also incredibly cringey.

It was so cringey that Yan Jinge’s toes curled involuntarily.

He almost got a cramp.

“Go, now. Don’t come near me, or I’m going to the guest room.”

As Yan Jinge spoke, he raised a leg and heartlessly kicked Song Zhengjun toward the bathroom to brush his teeth. Once he was the only one left on the bed, he pulled the duvet up to cover his nose, leaving only his eyes exposed to watch the light shining from the bathroom.

As he watched, Yan Jinge’s eyes suddenly crinkled, and he turned his head to the side, laughing.

What a little idiot.
