Seduced the Obsessive NPC and Ran - Chapter 51
Chapter 51
After Song Zhengjun returned from the washroom, he pestered Yan Jinge for a kiss.
Unable to refuse him, Yan Jinge could only lie on the bed, sharing one lingering kiss after another with Song Zhengjun. Finally, looking at Yan Jinge’s flushed, crimson lips, Song Zhengjun settled down contentedly. He rolled over, pulled Yan Jinge into his arms, and slept soundly through the night.
He didn’t do anything else.
Yan Jinge knew the man was giving him time to adjust, taking things one step at a time.
He also quite enjoyed their current relationship.
It was just a pity…
That this was only an NPC in a Small World.
The next day, Yan Jinge arrived at the film set.
Everyone on set had heard about Yi Haotian’s public blunder from the day before. Even before the man himself arrived, they couldn’t help but gossip.
When Yi Haotian finally appeared wearing sunglasses, the crowd’s frequent glances toward him became even more obvious, despite their attempts to be discreet.
Yi Haotian suppressed the fury in his heart.
The moment he entered, he began searching for Yan Jinge.
If it hadn’t been for Yan Jinge, the incident at the restaurant last night never would have happened. He wouldn’t be facing ridicule and abuse across the entire internet, and he certainly wouldn’t be here now, being watched like a monkey in a zoo, followed by eyes wherever he went.
It was so fucking-
Annoying.
Yi Haotian was beyond livid.
Especially after his manager’s attitude toward him yesterday, he was keenly aware that if he caused any more trouble, the company might actually abandon him.
This made him incredibly uncomfortable.
He had clearly reached his current position through hard work, yet he was being overshadowed by a minor star who had found himself a sugar daddy.
The world was simply too unfair.
Besides, Yan Jinge wasn’t even famous yet; this was just what he had achieved after clinging to a benefactor. If Yi Haotian had grasped such an opportunity, he would have already won enough awards to fill a room.
Yet Yan Jinge only knew how to cause trouble for him. It seemed the boy’s vision was truly that narrow.
Yi Haotian originally wanted to give Yan Jinge a taste of his own medicine, but he couldn’t be too overtly hostile. Yan Jinge had backing; if they truly clashed, Yi Haotian would be the one to suffer.
But was he really supposed to just take this grievance?
Was he supposed to stay silent, wait for Yan Jinge to deal with him, and just endure the humiliation?
Yi Haotian couldn’t bear it.
He planned to use his own methods to make Yan Jinge pay the price he deserved.
With that thought in mind, Yi Haotian happened to spot Yan Jinge.
Yan Jinge was currently speaking with Director Xu.
He had arrived early today because he didn’t quite understand the emotional nuances of a certain part of the script. It felt somewhat contradictory, so he had come to ask for Director Xu’s opinion. The screenwriter happened to be there as well, and the three of them began discussing it.
As they talked it through, the screenwriter also began to feel there was an issue and took the initiative to say, “I’ll revise the script.”
While the screenwriter crouched off to the side to work on the changes, Yan Jinge, who had already finished his hair and makeup, stayed to chat with Director Xu.
That was when Yi Haotian arrived.
He didn’t look for trouble directly. Instead, he put on a gentle expression and said, “What are Director Xu and Jinge chatting about?” His tone was intimate as he naturally joined the conversation.
Director Xu admired the sheer thickness of Yi Haotian’s skin. However, since he and Yi Haotian had never had any direct conflict, and he always maintained a friendly professional facade with everyone, he looked to Yan Jinge to see how he wanted to handle it.
To Xu Tang’s surprise, Yan Jinge didn’t seem to care at all.
When he spoke with Yi Haotian, he showed no signs of impatience, nor did he have any intention of getting up and leaving. Instead, he spoke to Yi Haotian mildly and even took the initiative to praise him.
His tone was incredibly sincere.
After a while, it was actually Yi Haotian who started to lose his composure, repeatedly on the verge of losing his temper.
In the end, however, he managed to suppress it.
Seeing this, Xu Tang knew there wouldn’t be a fight today and decided it was better to let the man leave. He smiled slightly. “Yi Haotian, we’re about to start filming. Go get your makeup done.”
Only then did Yi Haotian nod and stand up to leave.
Xu Tang took a slow sip of tea and glanced at Yan Jinge, who still wore a gentle, obedient smile. “Don’t you hate him? I thought you wouldn’t even speak to him.”
Yan Jinge blinked. “He’s looking for an opportunity to cause trouble for me, so of course I can’t let him have his way. Besides, didn’t you see just now? Seeing me act so kindly toward him only made him angrier.”
Toward the end, a hint of smugness crept into Yan Jinge’s expression.
Since there was a way to make his enemy even more furious while preserving his own reputation, why not do it?
Yan Jinge was no reckless fool who only knew how to lash out.
He certainly wouldn’t let Yi Haotian catch him in a compromising position just to prove a point.
Upon hearing this, Xu Tang recalled Yi Haotian’s expression and realized it was true.
He couldn’t help but take a second look at Yan Jinge.
He hadn’t expected this seemingly obedient person to be so calculating.
But that was for the best.
At least in this industry, he wouldn’t be easily bullied.
A while later, after Yi Haotian finished his styling, the first unit began filming.
Yan Jinge’s scenes were scattered throughout the day.
When it was his turn, he would go up and film; when it wasn’t, he would pull up a small stool and sit beside Xu Tang.
Occasionally, Xu Tang would give Yan Jinge a few pointers.
Yan Jinge benefited greatly from them.
At six in the evening, the crew began distributing dinner.
Yan Jinge had several night scenes piled together, so he likely wouldn’t be able to return home tonight. He decided to stay at the hotel suite he had rented previously. Just as he sent a text to Song Zhengjun, Song Zhengjun replied: “Wait for me tonight.”
Yan Jinge thought it over and decided not to eat with the rest of the crew.
Around ten o’clock that night.
Yan Jinge happened to be filming the final scene of a dismemberment case when Song Zhengjun arrived.
Yan Jinge’s face was covered in blood, and his arms were marked with scratches left by the victim before their death. He gripped the victim’s ankles with both hands, dragging him outward. Because the body was so heavy, Yan Jinge was bent over, panting slightly.
Midway through, Yan Jinge stopped to rest.
He leaned against the wall and raised a thin arm to wipe the sweat from his forehead.
The camera panned over. Yan Jinge was covered in dust, his hair was a mess, and he looked incredibly disheveled.
Yet, his face remained expressionless. He looked at the silent, lifeless corpse on the ground without a hint of fear, dread, or pity.
It wasn’t as if he were looking at a corpse; it was more like he was looking at a slab of pork.
This cold, near-manic demeanor made everyone on set watching Yan Jinge-who was surrounded by cameras-feel drawn into the scene, as if this was exactly how Yan Jinge was meant to be.
For a moment, the staff didn’t even dare to breathe.
Within the constructed set, Yan Jinge crouched down.
He stared at the man for a while, then suddenly reached out and patted the man’s cheek. Narrowing his eyes, he pulled the corner of his mouth into a smirk and asked, “Does it hurt?”
Of course, the corpse didn’t answer him.
But Yan Jinge recalled the man’s terrified screams just before he died. His exquisite, beautiful face was partially hidden in the darkness, his eyes dark and heavy, blood mixing with sweat as it trickled down his chin.
A passing car’s headlights flashed through the window, illuminating Yan Jinge’s face.
In that single shot, the audience could see the excitement in him.
“…Judging by your screams earlier, it seemed to hurt.”
“It’s only right that it hurts.”
Yan Jinge muttered to himself in a raspy voice. He tilted his head slightly as he looked at the corpse-a gesture that vaguely overlapped with the innocent, cute persona he maintained at school during the day.
He stood up again.
Leaning against the wall, Yan Jinge pulled an old flip phone from his pocket and dialed a number. After waiting for three seconds, the call seemed to connect. He said softly, “Don’t be afraid. The demon by your side has been eliminated. You can live in the sunlight with your daughter now…”
“Cut!”
Xu Tang discussed the scene with Yan Jinge and then filmed a few pick-up shots. Yan Jinge’s work for the day was finally over, and the special effects makeup on his face and body could be removed.
“Director, I’ll go wash my face now,” Yan Jinge said softly.
Xu Tang gave a grunt of approval.
As Yan Jinge walked toward the dressing room, the two assistants who had left earlier reappeared and began distributing late-night snacks to the crew.
When he looked back, Song Zhengjun was following right behind him.
The two walked one after the other.
Suddenly, Song Zhengjun quickened his pace and grabbed Yan Jinge’s wrist. With a slight tug, he pulled Yan Jinge into his arms.
Yan Jinge: “?”
Yan Jinge still had fake blood on him, which felt sticky and uncomfortable. If it rubbed off on Song Zhengjun, it would be difficult to clean. Moreover, the blood on some exposed areas had basically dried; with such sudden movement, it started flaking off onto the floor, which felt quite strange.
Just as Yan Jinge was about to speak, the man in front of him leaned down and kissed him.
He instinctively closed his eyes.
After a simple kiss, Song Zhengjun sucked hard on Yan Jinge’s lip and whispered, “When you were killing people, did you ever think that one day you’d be pinned to a bed and fucked by me?”
Yan Jinge: “???”
What kind of nonsense was Song Zhengjun spouting???
Seeing the shock on Yan Jinge’s face, Song Zhengjun let out a low laugh. “What? You’re covered in blood-did you think I wouldn’t be able to guess that you’re the serial killer who’s been causing such a stir in the city lately?”
As he spoke, Song Zhengjun half-pushed Yan Jinge into a nearby fire exit.
He swung the door shut behind them with a heavy thud, then glanced around. “Don’t worry, there’s no surveillance here.”
As soon as the words left his mouth, Song Zhengjun leaned in to kiss Yan Jinge again.
Yan Jinge didn’t know whether to laugh or cry.
How did this man have a roleplay fetish too?
And he had clearly read part of the script, as he was even filling in the gaps of Yan Jinge’s character profile.
Yan Jinge closed his eyes briefly. When he opened them again, they were filled with cold indifference.
He reached out to push Song Zhengjun away, his expression flat. “So what if you found out? You don’t actually think I’m afraid of you, do you? Besides, since you saw me… I’ll definitely have to kill you.” When Yan Jinge said this, there was almost no inflection in his voice, but his expression made it clear to Song Zhengjun that he meant every word.
Song Zhengjun gazed at the current Yan Jinge.
His breathing grew slightly ragged, his dark eyes fixed intently on Yan Jinge. He lifted Yan Jinge’s hand, placing it over his own heart, then leaned down to kiss Yan Jinge’s jawline.
He murmured indistinctly, “Then kill me. I’ve been yours for a long time. You can dispose of me however you like.”
Yan Jinge: “…”
Song Zhengjun was taking the opportunity to whisper sweet nothings again.
His jaw felt itchy from the kisses, and he couldn’t help but tilt his head. Just as he was about to play along, he heard Song Zhengjun laugh softly.
“But you won’t kill me.”
“You can’t bring yourself to do it.”
