Seduced the Obsessive NPC and Ran - Chapter 53
Chapter 53
After finishing dinner with Director Xu and the others, Yan Jinge was taking a stroll with Song Zhengjun to help digest when he received a call from Lin Jiu. Lin Jiu informed him that he was scheduled to shoot two endorsement commercials the day after tomorrow, both for products under Song Zhengjun’s company.
Yan Jinge agreed to the schedule.
Song Zhengjun was looking at his phone. Seeing Yan Jinge hang up, he showed his screen to him.
“Are you serious? If I send you the original video, you’ll give me fifty thousand?”
Yan Jinge glanced at the contact name, which was just a string of unfamiliar numbers. “Who is this?”
Song Zhengjun explained, “One of the people who was filming in the restaurant earlier. Yi Haotian’s team bought his video before. After some editing, they used it to whitewash his reputation as a ‘player.'”
Yan Jinge guessed what was happening and let out a low chuckle. “Are you going after him?”
“Yes.”
Song Zhengjun lowered his eyes. He didn’t mention that he had guessed Yan Jinge had a ‘task’ to complete. Instead, he said, “He toyed with your feelings and was involved with so many people behind your back. He deserves to be punished.”
Yan Jinge wasn’t fond of people who treated emotions like a game either. He nodded at the words. “Even if you didn’t do it, I was planning to deal with him eventually.”
Song Zhengjun smiled.
As they were talking, Yan Jinge’s phone began to chime incessantly.
He checked it and realized that four or five people were trying to add him on WeChat at the same time.
Yan Jinge: “?”
He randomly clicked on one. The note attached was an unfamiliar name. After a moment of thought, he accepted the request. As soon as he did, he was immediately pulled into a group chat.
The group name was-Avengers Alliance: Bombing the Fish Pond Together.
Yan Jinge burst out laughing.
He knew exactly who the people in this group were.
The messages in the group were flying by fast.
Yan Jinge’s phone vibrated non-stop.
“He’s here, he’s here! Yan Jinge is here.”
“He just accepted my friend request, so I added him right away.”
“Damn, speaking of this, I want to slap myself. I actually provoked Yan Jinge back then! I thought he was the one pestering Yi Haotian and wouldn’t let him go. I’m such a dumbass!”
“@Yan Jinge, brother, don’t leave yet! We’re the Avengers Alliance, and we’re on the same side as you now! We’re sorry for what happened before. We were tricked by that scumbag into thinking you were obsessed with Yi Haotian, but we know the truth now. We hope you can be the bigger person and let bygones be bygones. We’re all family now-brothers and sisters united to take down that scumbag, okay?”
“…Sigh, it’s just that Yi Haotian is too good at acting. We all fell for it.”
“We are really, really sorry.”
“Where’s Yan Jinge?”
While they spoke, the people in the group were actually quite nervous.
They were afraid Yan Jinge was still angry.
In the past, several of them had sent Yan Jinge some rather extreme text messages. To be honest, if the roles were reversed and they had experienced that, they would have been livid long ago.
Under these circumstances, even if Yan Jinge didn’t forgive them, they would accept it. But now that they knew the truth, they wanted to make amends somehow to ease their own guilt.
Yan Jinge, who was still walking, replied casually: “I’m out. I’ll get back to you when I get home.”
“Okay, okay. We started this group to discuss how to get revenge on Yi Haotian. He actually dared to play us like this; we definitely can’t let him off easily.”
“Exactly!”
“Death to all scumbags-”
Yan Jinge scanned the list and saw that the group was quite comprehensive. It even included the minor celebrity who had messaged him before. Seeing Yan Jinge join the group, everyone apologized. Some apologized directly in the group, while others sent private messages.
Yan Jinge felt no waves of emotion as he read the content.
He had a clear head; he knew the culprit behind everything was the scumbag. Although some people in this group had fiery tempers, they had indeed been deceived by Yi Haotian.
However, he wasn’t the Original Host, so he had no right to grant forgiveness on his behalf.
Putting his phone away, Yan Jinge continued his stroll with Song Zhengjun.
The two walked hand-in-hand for a while, chatting casually about interesting work stories. Even at night, the city remained lively. People came and went on both sides of the road, and the snack shops were particularly crowded. Many people were also taking advantage of the free evening to set up street stalls.
It was a rare moment of leisure for Yan Jinge. The corners of his mouth curled up slightly, and his beautiful eyes darted around, finding everything novel. He eventually ended up buying a bubble machine.
A cheerful melody played as countless colorful bubbles floated into the air.
After a while, Song Zhengjun asked, “Are you tired?”
Yan Jinge replied, “I’m fine.”
Song Zhengjun acted as if he hadn’t heard and asked again, “Do you want me to carry you?”
Yan Jinge’s footsteps faltered.
Two laughing students holding milk tea cups brushed past them.
Beside him, Song Zhengjun kept his eyes fixed forward.
With one hand in his pocket and his posture straight, he only turned his head when he realized Yan Jinge hadn’t kept up. The light from a shop’s sign cast a beautiful golden glow along the edges of his hair.
Neither of them spoke.
Three seconds later, Song Zhengjun said, “I want to carry you. I’ve never done it before.”
Yan Jinge blinked. “…Okay.”
Yan Jinge had never been carried on someone’s back before. Looking at the broad shoulders as Song Zhengjun crouched down in front of him, he pursed his lips and wrapped his arms around Song Zhengjun’s neck. Then, Song Zhengjun’s large hands hooked under his legs to lift him up.
Song Zhengjun stood up.
Yan Jinge’s line of sight suddenly shot upward. His chest was pressed tight against Song Zhengjun’s back; his body was stiff, afraid to move an inch. He felt a bit out of his element and even considered jumping down right then and there.
Just then, Song Zhengjun shifted slightly, giving Yan Jinge a little hoist.
Yan Jinge: “!!!”
Startled, Yan Jinge tightened his grip around Song Zhengjun’s neck. However, the adjustment made his position on the other man’s back much more comfortable than before.
Settling in, Yan Jinge allowed himself to be carried steadily.
The two of them made their way forward.
It was likely a rare sight to see one man carrying another on his back. Pedestrians on the sidewalk couldn’t help but steal glances at Yan Jinge, specifically looking at his legs.
-*Is this handsome young man’s leg broken? Is he having trouble walking?*
Normally, Yan Jinge didn’t care much about the gaze of strangers, but the current situation felt a bit embarrassing. He decided to simply bury his face in Song Zhengjun’s shoulder.
His warm breath fanned against the back of Song Zhengjun’s neck, immediately causing goosebumps to break out on that patch of skin. Yan Jinge’s soft hair draped down, brushing against his ear and making it itch.
Through their pressed bodies, Song Zhengjun could feel his lover’s steady, powerful heartbeat.
That, combined with the sensation of Yan Jinge’s legs in his palms, caused Song Zhengjun’s breathing to grow heavy.
He clearly hadn’t had a drop of alcohol, yet he felt somewhat intoxicated.
Song Zhengjun was suddenly seized by an impulse-one that made his mouth and tongue go dry.
He quickened his pace, walking as if he knew no fatigue.
This road was located in the old city district and branched out in all directions. Every so often, narrow, dark alleys would appear between the shops on either side. He picked one at random, heading into the shadows where the streetlights couldn’t reach, and set Yan Jinge down.
Before Yan Jinge could react, Song Zhengjun pressed him against the wall and kissed him fiercely.
Their teeth and tongues tangled together.
Song Zhengjun drank him in, pulling back every now and then to stare at Yan Jinge’s face in the dim light.
“Yan Jinge,” Song Zhengjun called out.
Yan Jinge, dazed and breathless from the kiss, looked up when he heard his name. “Hmm?”
“Don’t look for other men in the future,” Song Zhengjun said, his voice husky. “Just me.”
Yan Jinge was baffled.
Why was Song Zhengjun suddenly saying this? He hadn’t even been in a relationship before he died, and this was his first time in this life. He had never been ambiguous with anyone other than Song Zhengjun…
Yan Jinge couldn’t help but look at the man’s serious expression.
Song Zhengjun’s eyes were dark and dull.
His face was expressionless, but small details betrayed his intense nervousness-the slight downturn of his lips, his tensed muscles, and the commanding tone of his words.
The way Song Zhengjun looked at him carried an indescribable, cloying quality, like being watched by a venomous snake that might flick its tongue at him at any second.
Yan Jinge felt as though he had seen this somewhere before…
He couldn’t help but frown.
To be honest, the look in his eyes didn’t bother him much, but Yan Jinge didn’t like Song Zhengjun using that tone of voice with him.
However, Yan Jinge’s brow had been furrowed for less than a second before Song Zhengjun took his hand.
Lowering his gaze, Song Zhengjun retracted all his thorns. His fingers gently brushed over Yan Jinge’s forehead, massaging the frown away.
“Jinge.”
Song Zhengjun murmured softly, leaning in to kiss him again.
This time, it was merely a light touch, their lips meeting briefly like a dragonfly skimming the water.
Soft, dry, and hot.
Even Song Zhengjun knew that his emotions were coming out of nowhere.
But he couldn’t control them.
Back when he didn’t have Yan Jinge, he feared nothing because he had nothing to lose. But things were different now.
The more he gained, the more Song Zhengjun feared.
He had to hear a definitive answer from Yan Jinge’s lips.
If the answer was what he wanted…
Then fine, life would continue on this sweet path.
But if it wasn’t what he wanted…
Song Zhengjun let out a low chuckle.
He didn’t think about the potential consequences; he just continued to stare intently at Yan Jinge.
“You definitely won’t do anything to betray me.”
Song Zhengjun spoke softly, as if talking to himself. “Jinge, I trust you. You aren’t that kind of person.” As he spoke, he gently rubbed his thumb against Yan Jinge’s temple.
Yan Jinge: “?”
Yan Jinge blinked. Seeing that his lover seemed to be in a psychologically unhealthy state, he hesitated for a moment before pulling out his phone and searching for a psychiatrist.
Song Zhengjun looked down and saw Yan Jinge’s screen.
Seeing this familiar move, Song Zhengjun’s brow twitched.
In the next second, Yan Jinge looked up, pointed at a kind-looking man in his fifties on the screen, and asked tentatively, “I think this psychiatrist looks pretty good. What do you think?”
Song Zhengjun: “…”

Song Zhengjun: I think not.
