Chapter 94

“What?”

Beili saw Ashera’s thin, cold lips move slightly as if he were speaking, but she couldn’t hear what he was saying.

“Did you just say something?” she asked, puzzled.

“Yes.”

His hollow golden eyes ‘looked’ at her as Ashera gave a slight nod, a smile spreading across the corners of his mouth.

“What did you say?” Beili asked.

“I said, our last collaboration was very pleasant.”

The smile on his face was somewhat eerie, and his tone was slow as he spoke:

“I think we can collaborate once more, my dear Little Butterfly.”

***

By the time she left the Dream Corridor and returned to the real world, the sky outside had grown bright.

Beili opened her eyes to find the space beside her empty.

Ashera’s movements had always been secretive, so she wasn’t surprised. After glancing around her surroundings, Beili took the Invisibility Cloak out of her Spatial Bracelet, put it on, stepped out from the corner, and left through the main entrance on the first floor.

The body of Gelan, the library administrator who had fallen to the first floor, had already been cleared away. All that remained was a pool of deep red blood and a warning sign.

It was said that female students studying regeneration magic had discovered him when they went to return books.

The Dean’s office had posted a notice in the corner of the bulletin board-Gelan had died in an accident.

However, as the noble students carrying suitcases of various sizes prepared to return home, not a single one was willing to let their gaze linger on that corner for more than two seconds as they passed the bulletin board.

Not a single one.

***

Beili arrived at the school clinic building.

Using her Beast Transformation to turn into a butterfly, she flew through the open window and back into her infirmary room.

Just as she shifted back into human form, she felt an abnormal fluctuation of Mana from the Invisibility Cloak she was wearing.

Beili took off the Invisibility Cloak to inspect it and found that it had completely lost its concealment effect.

Magic items pre-injected with Mana were consumables; once the Mana was exhausted, they became useless.

Yet, at the thought of throwing away this magic item she used most frequently, Beili felt a faint trace of reluctance.

Before this, she wouldn’t have felt this way at all.

Back then, she had viewed everything in this world as a brief journey. She believed that everything here was something she couldn’t take with her on the day she departed.

Bartholomew’s body, appearance, family, and everything else had nothing to do with her.

But things were different now.

From today onward, she was Bartholomew Constance.

However, it seemed quite a few people in Sainthos wanted her to disappear from this world.

Among them was Prince Cyril of Sainthos.

No matter what kind of entanglements they had with Bartholomew, she could not let these people’s schemes succeed.

Lowering her eyes, which were a ghostly red like gemstones, she calmly folded the Invisibility Cloak neatly and put it into her Spatial Bracelet.

She then took out a red-and-black puffed dress and changed out of her hospital gown.

After combing her long, wavy silver-gray hair smooth, she took two strands from the sides to braid them, tying them with exquisite black lace ribbons.

Once she was properly tidied up, she opened the infirmary door.

“Sister… Sister Bartholomew…”

The moment the door opened, the pink-haired girl waiting in the corridor gave a startled jump as she saw her.

The girl seemed to want to walk toward her, but she was surrounded by suitcases of all sizes, leaving her completely unable to move her legs.

This person was Susanna.

Early this morning, Susanna, who had no servants to follow her, had to pack by herself. After picking through her belongings, she had managed to organize two large suitcases of luggage.

As she struggled to move the two heavy suitcases away from the girls’ dormitory, she luckily encountered Clarence of the Barton Family.

Clarence had taken the initiative to take Susanna’s suitcases and promised to wait for her at the pier with them.

That was why Susanna was able to free herself to wait outside Sister Bartholomew’s infirmary.

Besides Susanna, the corridor outside the infirmary was also filled with female students waiting anxiously with suitcases large and small.

However, those suitcases were all being carried by their servants. The female students were only concerned with waving their feather fans and holding small, delicate makeup mirrors, constantly fixing their makeup and hairstyles.

Without exception, they were waiting to catch a glimpse of Prince Lance before leaving Holy Island by boat.

Seeing Susanna, they looked at the girl with disdainful eyes, as if they were looking at an enemy.

After all, this person had only been on Holy Island for a short year and a half, yet she had captured the hearts of half the male students at the Holy Island Academy.

Even Prince Cyril, who was like a glacier that kept everyone at a distance, was in close contact with her. How could they not hate her?

Most importantly, they had discovered that this person was a spineless pushover.

Despite being bullied several times, both openly and secretly, she would only bite her lip, her eyes turning red as she endured it in silence.

She wouldn’t report it to the Holy Church Academy or the Dean’s office, nor would she complain to her family.

After exchanging a few looks, the female students in the corridor secretly instructed their respective servants to use their suitcases to block Susanna.

Before long, the area around her was packed so tightly that not even water could trickle through.

The gray-haired, red-eyed girl gave a flat look at Susanna, who was hemmed in by suitcases of various colors, and then glanced at the students who were hiding half their faces behind feather fans, revealing only eyes full of schadenfreude.

With a flick of her finger, a dozen Morpho Butterflies appeared out of thin air. They gripped the suitcases blocking the girl’s path and tossed them rudely aside.

The thudding sounds of suitcases hitting the floor rang out simultaneously with the gasps of the female students.

“Let’s go, Susanna,” she said, her tone devoid of emotion.”
