Chapter 95

The journey passed in silence.

Beili and Susanna walked to the Holy Island pier.

The shore was currently crowded with ships.

These vessels would transport the students to the nearby Transfer Island.

Transfer Island was equipped with many Teleportation Arrays that could lead to the various capital cities of the kingdom.

On the other side, having received notice from the Academy, the various families would send carriages in advance to wait at Transfer Island for pick-up.

Therefore, once the students disembarked from the ships, they only needed to find their own family’s carriage.

However, most students were currently stuck at the boarding stage.

Holy Island Academy had only one pier.

The main road and every flat surface were occupied by luggage of all sizes.

These people simply had too much luggage.

Scanning the area, one could even see bathtubs encrusted with diamonds and Christmas trees woven from gold thread among the small mountains of baggage… all of it extravagant and useless.

…

“Miss Bartholomew, Miss Susanna.”

Hearing a familiar voice, they turned toward the source.

They saw a young man with honey-colored short curls and blue eyes standing in an open space, waving at them shyly.

“It’s Mr. Clarence…” Susanna whispered.

Remembering her two trunks, she walked toward the young man.

Susanna thanked him, and they soon struck up a conversation.

However, during their talk, Clarence still didn’t dare to meet Susanna’s eyes. His deep blue gaze drifted elsewhere, and he remained polite but stiff with her.

Furthermore, Clarence’s gaze would occasionally flicker toward the gray-haired, red-eyed girl standing nearby.

Bartholomew Constance.

When he had left the Maze and returned to Holy Island Academy, he had heard the appalling news and realized he was one of the five survivors. Only then did it click…

When he had been wandering dizzily in the Maze, the girl who had appeared like a descending angel and guided him to the right path had saved his life.

And yet, he had actually forgotten to say thank you to her.

Was it too late to make amends now…?

Oh, this was truly too rude of him.

…

Meanwhile, Beili was looking at the black-haired, purple-eyed youth not far away.

Cyril was watching expressionlessly as servants moved luggage onto a ship.

As if sensing Bartholomew’s gaze, he turned his head toward her position.

But by then, Beili had already turned around and was walking toward Susanna and Clarence.

“Sister Bartholomew,” Susanna said to her, “Mr. Clarence has invited us to return to Sainthos together.”

Susanna’s two trunks were too heavy.

She didn’t expect Sister Bartholomew to help her carry even one of them for a second.

So when Clarence glanced at the trunks and offered the invitation to travel together, Susanna gave him a very grateful smile.

“Alright,” Beili nodded, then asked in confusion, “Then what are we still waiting for?”

After all, the pier was full of ships.

The boatmen on board were also looking at the group of gorgeously dressed students on shore with longing eyes.

The gorgeously dressed students were also waiting with faces full of impatience.

And yet, almost no ships were departing.

His blue eyes fixed on a point in the air, the young man was about to explain when he caught sight of a figure weaving through the crowd toward them out of the corner of his eye.

Clarence’s blue eyes brightened slightly as he smiled. “No need to wait anymore. We’ve found a boat.”

A servant ran up to Clarence in a hurry, took two breaths, and said respectfully, “Young Master, I have found a comfortable ship. As you requested, it is stocked with delicious honey shaved ice.”

Hearing the words ‘honey shaved ice,’ Clarence nodded with satisfaction.

“Good. Then let’s depart.”

“…”

Only then did Beili realize that the reason these people were stuck at the pier was entirely their own doing.

Once the picky requirements were settled, the servants could just find any random boat to follow behind them with the luggage.
The three of them had just stepped onto the boat when the black-haired, purple-eyed youth appeared behind them out of nowhere and boarded as well.

“Together.”

He spoke coldly, uttering the two words with concise finality and offering no explanation.

…

And so.

The seawater was a clear, pure blue.

The four people inside the boat quietly finished their honey shaved ice and sat in a daze for a while.

The vessel swayed and bobbed with the rhythm of the waves.

Two of them leaned against the partitions behind them, their heads gradually tilting to one side as they drifted off to sleep.

Beili’s gaze fell upon the youth sitting opposite her, his features exquisite yet frigid.

At this moment, Cyril had his arms crossed over his chest, his eyes slightly closed as he rested.

But Beili knew he was here to collect the results of their deal.

Even though she knew this man harbored no good intentions toward her, he held the contract in black and white.

To avoid the penalty for breaching the contract, she still had to fulfill her end of the bargain.

Thus, Beili took out stationery and a pen from her Spatial Bracelet.

After a moment of thought, she wrote down the method to open the Third Floor of the Holy Island Academy library in concise sentences and handed it to the youth.

Cyril opened his eyes immediately.

He took the paper, scanned the contents expressionlessly, and then his brow gradually furrowed.

Watching Cyril’s expression, Beili felt a bit guilty, but she maintained a calm and composed facade.

She knew the conditions for opening the Third Floor were quite stringent and that it could only be opened through her.

This result was likely not what our Prince Cyril wanted.

When the paper returned to her hands, a new line of text had been added.

‘How much Mana is required to open it once?’ Cyril asked.

If she had Ashera guiding her like last night, it would probably take the total Mana of three elite students to open the Dream Domain that only contained the library.

Beili thought to herself.

Without guidance, if she were to open the dream on her own, it would likely require the total Mana of six elite students.

However, she wasn’t going to give Cyril such a detailed explanation.

Beili pursed her lips and wrote in the blank space below:

‘A lot, a lot, a lot.’

With things like this, the more vague, the better.

If Cyril ever wanted to open the library’s Third Floor, she wouldn’t mind accepting the Mana he collected at all-the more, the merrier.

On the other side.

Cyril looked at her reply, his frown deepening.

He looked up from the paper, his cold purple eyes sweeping over her.

Beili silently shifted her gaze elsewhere.

A moment later.

The paper was handed back to her.

Another line had been added:

‘Since it requires so much Mana, where did the Mana you used to open the library’s Third Floor last time come from?’ Cyril asked.

Seeing those words, the face of Messenger Yue involuntarily floated into Beili’s mind.

Her expression stiffened slightly, but she quickly recovered.

She slowly folded the paper and tucked it back into her Spatial Bracelet, then closed her red eyes as if she were resting.

She was using her actions to signal-

The contract is over. Any information beyond that is not up for discussion.

A cold gaze lingered on her for a moment before finally turning away.

…

They sailed across the sea for an unknown amount of time.

The boat finally docked at Transfer Island.

Though the island was small, it had been cleared and leveled; currently, it was filled with exquisite and ornate carriages.

The students disembarked, and before they could look around for more than two seconds, they were whisked away by their long-waiting butlers and servants.

The four of them were no exception.

The moment the feet of Beili, Susanna, Clarence, and Cyril hit the sand, people from the Sainthos Royal Family, the Barton Family, and the Constance Family immediately moved forward to greet them.
