In the end, I still went back with Jiang Rang to his place.

It was a detached villa tucked away among lush suburban trees, far from the city.

He paused, then asked gently, “It’s very late today. Shall we go to bed now?”

“…Bed… with you?” I swallowed.

“Yes. It’s late.” His voice was gentle, but his tone left no room for argument. “We’re going back to the bedroom and sleeping together.”
