I woke up the next day.

Jiang Rang was making breakfast in the kitchen.

“You’re up.” He handed me a glass of milk. “Breakfast will be ready soon.”

He seemed to have just gotten back from a workout. He wore a black tank top that showed off the sharply defined lines of his back, and loose athletic shorts on the bottom, his calves firm and powerful.

Tied around his waist was an apron-pink Hello Kitty!?

The comments floated past:

My gaze shifted to Jiang Rang across the dining table.

Fresh from his workout, the veins on his arms stood out, and the open neckline of his tank top revealed the deep definition of his chest.

I had to admit it.

This guy’s face, his body, his personality-even that little red mole on his throat-hit every single one of my weaknesses.

Jiang Rang’s Adam’s apple was large and prominent…

The second I thought of how he had secretly kissed me last night after I fell asleep, my face instantly burned bright red again.

“Honey, what’s wrong?”

His eyes stayed fixed on me, and his fingertips touched my forehead. “Are you not feeling well?”

“N-No.”

I took a step back. “Don’t you need to go to work?”

His voice turned a little cold. “Honey, you don’t want to stay with me?”

“No.” I hurriedly shook my head in denial.

His fingers slid inch by inch from my forehead, over the tip of my nose, down to my lips. Then… he restrained himself and pulled back.

His gaze moved to my fingers. “Honey, the milk will get cold.”

Under his stare, I drank the glass of milk.

Jiang Rang turned around, his back to me. “I don’t need to be at my own company all the time, but there are indeed a few things I need to hand over. When I get back, I’ll make you braised pork ribs and stir-fried king oyster mushrooms.”

…Those were my favorite dishes.
