The Fox Who Raised a Human - Chapter 3
Chapter 3
The fox who adopted me said that in real life, I was already dead.
I looked completely unconvinced.
But then, in a flash, my mind suddenly recalled the image of me being hit by a car and sent flying while holding a jianbing.
The words that were about to come out of my mouth were swallowed back down.
It seemed like I really was a little bit dead…
He explained, “This is the Beastman World. Every human who dies in an accident will appear here shortly after. Beastmen take the opportunity to pick up these randomly dropping humans and raise them.”
“Everyone who arrives here must register, so that later they can undergo unified social group calming training to prevent stress.”
“Hmm… the nature of picking up humans is a bit like seeing a dirty, pitiful little kitten on the roadside and wanting to take it in.”
“But it’s also different, because here Beastmen and humans can be together.”
“Furthermore, humans who come here have a unique calming ability that can prevent Beastmen from becoming irritable.”
“Although this is my first time raising a human, I’ve done a lot of research online.”
I closed my eyes, not daring to imagine the scene of me being raised by a Fox Beastman.
An Guanshu picked me up like holding a child and carried me toward the bathroom.
His tone was gentle and doting: “Alright, it’s time for your bath.”
I widened my eyes in panic, struggling desperately and grabbing onto the door handle.
“I’ll do it myself, you don’t need to wash me!”
An Guanshu patiently coaxed me, prying my hands open bit by bit: “Good Little Human, don’t squirm, you’ll fall if you keep this up.”
“You’ve just arrived; you don’t yet know how to use the things here. It’s better if I bathe you.”
I screamed, “Humans have autonomy and can bathe themselves! I really don’t need your help-”
I punched and kicked in his arms, struggling so hard I wished I could immediately crawl away into the shadows. I was harder to hold down than a pig during New Year’s.
Chapter 5
Before long, a bright red slap mark appeared on his cheek.
Left with no choice, he sat on the toilet lid, grabbed both my hands with one hand, clamped my lower body between his legs to keep me still, and desperately freed a hand to post a help thread on his phone:
[What should I do if the little human I’m raising strongly resists taking a bath?]
Raising humans has always been a hot topic in the Beastman World.
In an instant, all sorts of Beastmen enthusiastically shared their tips for raising humans in the comments.
[Try tossing a stack of human currency notes. The response levels are: the blue ten-yuan, the brown twenty-yuan, the cyan fifty-yuan, and personal testing shows the red hundred-yuan works best.]
[I know this one! When giving humans paper money, you have to coax them. Give a little at first, not too much. Some humans are quite content and will just take the money and run without bathing.]
[You can try friendly communication with humans. As far as I know, many humans prefer to bathe themselves. Most humans only agree to let Beastmen bathe them when they’re in a partner relationship.]
…
Among them, the most upvoted Beastman answer was: [This kind of human is the most lecherous. If you take off your clothes and get into the bathtub, they’ll be willing to wash.]
I didn’t even have time to snatch his phone away.
“We don’t have any human universal currency at home right now. Be good, and I’ll take a bath with you.”
The Fox Beastman thought for a moment.
After filling the bathtub, he chose to strip completely.
I watched helplessly as two streams of blood slowly trickled from my nose.
I was completely dumbfounded, my brain short-circuiting.
The Fox Beastman panicked: “Human, why are you bleeding?!”
An Guanshu tried to lower his head to check on me. I wiped my nosebleed and raised a hand, signaling him to put on pants before talking.
“Let’s first discuss the basic considerations for raising humans, like-don’t strip in front of humans casually.”
Every movement he made was startlingly indecent.
After saying that, I walked out of the bathroom with stiff, awkward movements.
