The Fox Who Raised a Human - Chapter 2
Chapter 2
I transmigrated into the Beastman World a week ago.
At the time, I didn’t know anything. I looked up blankly at the cyberpunk-style building in front of me.
I was even holding a freshly made jianbing (Chinese crepe) in my hand.
After hesitating for two seconds, I decisively walked over to the nearby green belt, planning to finish breakfast before pondering serious questions like where I was.
Because in my blurry memory of crossing the zebra crossing on a green light, it seemed like I was hit by something.
But as soon as I sat down, something tightened around my waist.
“Don’t eat that. It’s dirty.”
The next second, a cold and calm voice sounded, and a furry head nuzzled close to my neck.
“A… wild human?”
“Mm, a strong Little Human scent.”
He sniffed, then casually tossed my jianbing into the nearby trash can.
Out of reflex, I raised my hand and slapped this guy, turning his head to the side.
“Are you sick?!” I struggled against the restraint around my waist, and when I looked down, I saw a fluffy white tail.
The man, who had two ears sprouting from his head, squinted and touched his own face as if savoring the feeling.
Then.
He tilted his head and offered me the other side of his face.
I froze, dazedly reaching out to touch those trembling ears.
They were warm, mobile, and in the light they even seemed to show a pinkish hue from blood flow.
I froze, my gaze falling on my own blood-soaked hands.
In my mind, the image of me being hit by a car at the zebra crossing flashed violently.
Immediately after, my eyes rolled back and I fainted.
As my eyes closed, I heard the man’s panicked shout: “Little human, don’t die-”
Damn it, I’ve probably gone crazy from overwork.
I actually saw the shadow of a fox in a person-that’s too creepy.
The Fox Beastman carried me to the People’s Hospital for a check-up.
Originally, the fox warned me that once he cleaned all the blood off me, he’d find me a keeper and send me away.
I saw the scar on his wrist and calmly nodded in agreement.
But after one night passed,
the fox went ahead and applied for a human adoption certificate.

And so, I was adopted by the Fox Beastman and became a member of his family.
After a night of thinking, the fox decided not to die for now.
He took me back to his home, and along the way he pretended to be aloof, saying with feigned indifference, “Do you have a name? How about I give you one?”
“Would you like me to call you Good Little Human, or Human Baby?”
How is that any different from humans going “kitty kitty” in a high-pitched voice when they see a kitten on the street?
With a cold expression, I slapped his hand away. “Neither. I have my own name.”
“My name is Song Zheng.”
The Fox Beastman didn’t mind my offensive gesture; instead, he nodded amiably to show he understood.
“I’m An Guanshu, a Fox Beastman. You’re now my Little Human, got it?”
I stopped walking and emphasized, “I’m not your pet. I’m a human.”
The Fox Beastman tilted his head and chuckled at me.
“That serious look of yours is really cute. I want to kiss you.”
Ever since last night, when he hugged the human and smelled that Little Human scent while sleeping, he had figured it out.
If he didn’t take care of me, this little human would probably die, so he had to stay alive.
Suddenly, a warm sensation touched my face.
At the same time, my raised slap landed.
The Fox Beastman covered his face and muttered softly as he opened the door, “It still hurts a bit.”
My expression was stern as I emphasized again, “I told you, don’t lay a hand on me!”
“I really will hit you.”
The Fox Beastman lowered his eyes, looking at me with pity and affection. “But I’m not human. I’m a Beastman. Those are two different concepts.”
“Did I pick up a mentally challenged little human?”
“But it’s fine. I can raise you. All the little human needs to do is stay healthy and happy.”
I: “…”
