The Revenge Manual of a Clingy Person - Chapter 2
Chapter 2
The next day I went to Su Yanli’s office.
The door was ajar. I knocked twice, and a low “Come in” came from inside.
Pushing open the door, I was met with a sight that made my blood race.
Su Yanli was bending over to pick something up. His suit trousers were pulled taut, hugging a full, pert rear. A couple of buttons were undone, his white shirt tightening with the motion, his chest bulging.
My throat went dry and I swallowed. My hands started itching again.
Back then, why had I been so uncreative, sticking to cats, bunnies, and foxes? That kind of immaculate, ascetic style deserved to be unwrapped slowly, piece by piece, watching him burn with shame, powerless to resist, until he crumbled into tears and begged for mercy. That would have been thrilling.
A missed opportunity. What a missed opportunity.
I clicked my tongue in regret and forced my gaze away. “President Su, what did you need?”
Su Yanli straightened up, brows furrowed. “Speak properly. Don’t try to act cute.”
I stared blankly. “Huh?”
He sneered. “Playing pitiful won’t work either. I don’t fall for that anymore.”
My eyes widened. “…Are you crazy?”
He looked incredulous. “Asking about my health? You’re really full of tricks now, An Xun. I underestimated you.”
I laughed out of frustration. “As long as you’re happy.”
He got worked up. “As long as I’m happy?”
Then he muttered under his breath, “So you can’t forget me, willing to do anything to make me happy.”
I was getting impatient. Even workplace harassment shouldn’t be this torturous. I might not be a rich young master anymore, but I still had my pride.
I leaned in closer. “Su Yanli, do you have something to say or not?”
He took a couple of deep breaths, and his face flushed. His expression conflicted. “I understand what you mean. Go out first. I need to consider.”
…Forget it. I didn’t understand a word. His words were encrypted.
Even if he were cured, he’d still be a drooling fool.
Chapter 4
I sat at my desk, pretending to study reports but actually slacking off, hopping from one app to another.
Eventually I got so bored that I clicked on that thread again.
The OP had indeed updated:
[Mystery solved: he still has feelings for me.]
A crowd of fellow work-skirting netizens rushed to hear the gossip: [Details! How could you tell he has feelings for you?]
The OP seemed to be waiting by the screen and replied instantly:
[When I bent over to pick something up, he stole glances at me for several seconds.]
[He also asked about my health, wondering if I had lost my mind. Ha, a transparent cover-up.]
[Most telling, he said my happiness was more important than anything.]
[He smelled so good, using the same body wash we used to share. He let me smell it on purpose to hint at me.]
Finally concluding: [He can’t forget me. He loves me.]
And then nervously: [We see each other every day; it’s so ambiguous. If this goes on we’ll get married. Do you think I can adapt?]
Netizens rushed to comment:
[Fan Jin only went crazy after passing the imperial exam; the OP goes crazy just from seeing someone.]
[OP, you can rest your heart in your hemorrhoids-no need to worry about irrelevant matters.]
[The bending over was deliberate, right? Definitely deliberate! You posed for ages, you scheming dog!]
[I now see clearly: the OP isn’t out for revenge, but to fan his tail feathers like a peacock and try to get back together.]
[Bad man: breathes. OP: such wicked skills, I can’t resist.]
The OP deleted the comments he didn’t like.
[Even if he’s so madly in love with me, I won’t forgive him!!]
[None of you need to try convincing me; I’m definitely going to get bitter revenge!]
I covered my mouth, my shoulders shaking with laughter.
Mid-glee, I suddenly felt a chill on the back of my neck, as if someone was staring at me from behind with a deeply resentful gaze.
I turned around stiffly.
The open-plan office was silent. Colleagues were either buried in their keyboards or chatting quietly over coffee.
Everything was normal.
Strange.
Could the air conditioning be too strong?
I rubbed my arms and turned back to continue reading the thread.
The netizens were still tirelessly offering advice and stratagems.
My fingers flew, and unable to resist stirring the pot, I joined in:
[OP, when dealing with this kind of bad man, you have to be even worse! Whatever he did to you before, double it and give it back!]
The OP instantly replied: [Thanks, I’ll consider it.]
