The Seventh Security Bureau: Exchanged Lives - Chapter 2
Chapter 2
The next day, when I saw my roommate, I felt dazed for a moment. Seeing my own face on someone else’s body was truly a bizarre experience.
She still came to school in Xu Zhiyan’s car.
Noticing me looking at them, my roommate frowned and tightened her grip on Xu Zhiyan’s arm.
“Jiang Bailu, what are you looking at?”
Xu Zhiyan glanced at me and shrugged.
“Bailu, this is my girlfriend.”
I nodded and smiled. “Of course I’ve met her; we’re roommates.”
I stepped closer and straightened my roommate’s collar.
“Lu Nianyu, hello.”
Her smile stiffened, and she greeted me with a touch of awkwardness.
Actually, if you think about it, Jiang Bailu and Xu Zhiyan had known each other longer. Their families had business dealings, Jiang Bailu liked Xu Zhiyan, and both families were happy to see it happen.
But after Xu Zhiyan went after me, the Jiang Family didn’t allow Jiang Bailu to chase after him anymore.
There were plenty of eligible young talents at the same level; why hang yourself on one tree? In a business marriage, being too emotional was actually not good.
When emotions run too high, they can sometimes cloud rational decisions.
Jiang Father had only Jiang Bailu as his daughter and had always raised her as his heir.
Unfortunately, Jiang Bailu’s ambitions did not lie there.
Now, we had swapped lives, each getting what we wished for.
During a break, in the empty corridor, my roommate blocked my way.
“Lu Nianyu, you’re not still thinking of swapping back, are you?”
She said coldly, “The swap is irreversible. I paid a price to get Zhiyan’s love, and no matter what, I won’t give it back.”
I couldn’t help but laugh silently. Irreversible? That’s really-
Wonderful!
“Miss Lu, I hope you’ll remember your own name from now on.”
I stood on the step above, looking down at her. “My name is Jiang Bailu.”
A flicker of confusion passed through my roommate’s eyes, then quickly turned firm.
“It’s best if you think that way.”
Watching her retreating figure, I slowly curled my lips.
I hope she regrets it later, but not too soon.
Out of humanitarian concern, I arranged for a doctor to give her a full-body checkup.
No matter what, I still hoped she would live healthily.
After all, I wasn’t sure if our life values were also linked.
