The Seventh Security Bureau: Zhiyan - Chapter 1
Chapter 1
“Zhiyan, feeling better?
“Can you play in the practice match coming up?”
I stared blankly at the coach before me, and only spoke after a while: “Much better, I can play.”
Coach Song looked worried: “Don’t push yourself. You’re so pale-do you still have a fever?”
I smiled: “It’s fine. Is HT’s AD today Venus?”
Coach Song nodded: “Yes, I heard she just came back from abroad. No idea about her skill level.”
What about her skill level?
I sneered inwardly. In any case, she’s not as good as me.
“Even if she’s skilled, she still needs time to gel with the team. It’s no big deal.
“It won’t affect us.”
Coach Song patted my shoulder: “That’s true. If you’re fine, I’ll go call the others.”
As soon as Coach Song left, I spun around and rushed into the bathroom, throwing up violently into the toilet.
No one knew Venus’s skill better than me. After all, in my previous life, she was my defeated opponent.
That’s right-I wasn’t sick with a cold or fever at all. I had been reborn.
Venus, Tang Nansheng, the substitute AD for Team HT.
And besides that, she had another identity: my boyfriend Fu Siyan’s ex-girlfriend and his unforgettable first love.
Fu Siyan is our team’s mid laner.
Two months before the finals, Tang Nansheng returned to the country. From that day on, Fu Siyan was off his game.
But I didn’t think much of it; I assumed it was pre-competition anxiety.
I even comforted him, telling him not to worry: “With me here, I guarantee the bottom lane will be a clean sweep.”
I said this with full confidence, because I was the officially recognized Top AD Carry, the king of the marksman role.
At that time, I had no idea that Fu Siyan wasn’t worried about winning or losing-he was worried about Tang Nansheng.
Tang Nansheng had said she faced a lot of ostracism abroad, and after returning she absolutely had to achieve results.
But for HT to go to the world championship, they didn’t have enough points from the first half of the year. They had to win the league title.
Fu Siyan wanted her to win. Later, in the matches against HT, Fu Siyan kept making mistakes or playing like he was sleepwalking. But I consistently crushed Tang Nansheng in the bottom lane. Despite the bumps, we still made it to the finals.
The day before the finals, Tang Nansheng ran to the hotel in the middle of the night and cried with Fu Siyan for half the night.
The next day, Fu Siyan tampered with the brakes of the team’s support vehicle. The brakes failed, and it crashed into the barrier.
I was thrown out of the car window and suffered severe injuries.
The others rushed to the match with the substitute AD; I was sent to the ICU for emergency treatment.
The substitute hadn’t gelled well with the team, and Fu Siyan was distracted and deliberately threw the game. We lost terribly.
While Tang Nansheng was holding the trophy, I was fighting for my life.
Even my parents didn’t get to see me one last time. On my deathbed, Fu Siyan cried bitterly before my hospital bed.
“I’m sorry, Zhiyan. I’ll definitely take good care of your parents for you. I only meant to get you hurt-I never imagined it would turn out like this.”
Right-he just wanted to injure me, so he unfastened my seatbelt.
After I died, I didn’t lose consciousness immediately.
My spirit drifted for many days.
Until two women found me. The short-haired one asked if I was willing to start over.
“Damn it, these shitty systems always find trouble for me.”
I nodded blankly. When I opened my eyes again, I found myself back on the day I first learned about Tang Nansheng.
