The Seventh Security Bureau: Zhiyan - Chapter 2
Chapter 2
Sitting in front of my computer, I still felt a sense of unreality, but muscle memory made me quickly select my champion.
Fu Siyan was distracted. Seeing me lock in Xayah, he hesitated. “Zhiyan, shouldn’t you practice something else?”
Coach Song picked the support to pair with me. “We can take Rakan this game. Xayah & Rakan is perfect.”
Fu Siyan laughed awkwardly. “Going this hard in a training match?”
I glanced at him coolly. “I take every game seriously.”
Noticing the tension between us, our support Lailai tried to smooth things over. “Well, we’ve all picked. Fu bro, what do you want to play?”
Coach Song wanted Fu Siyan to play Azir, but Fu Siyan, his mind elsewhere, instantly locked in Lulu.
Lulu’s cute icon appeared, leaving the whole team dumbfounded.
Top laner Ah Yu scratched his head. “What kind of tactic is this? I haven’t seen a Lulu in ages. Is Fu bro going to be Zhiyan’s dog this game?”
Lulu is a support-oriented mage. In the current meta, she’s rarely seen in mid because she lacks damage. Picking her usually signals, “Guys, I’m along for the ride this game, you hard carry.” But pairing her with Xayah and Rakan isn’t a great choice.
Fu Siyan quickly explained, “Sorry, misclicked.”
Jungler Yelang hesitated for a long time, unsure what to pick to synergize with this mid.
I sneered. “You misclicked from that far away? You’re really something.”
Fu Siyan frowned. Maybe out of guilt, his voice grew louder than usual. “I just picked the wrong champ in a training match. Is it that big a deal?”
Watching the enemy team snap up a meta mid laner without hesitation, I said no more and focused on setting my runes.
After the game started, Tang Nansheng danced on the enemy side.
I paid her no mind and calmly farmed minions.
Tang Nansheng started typing in chat to interact with Fu Siyan.
[Siyan, long time no see.]
I glanced at his screen and saw Fu Siyan miss a minion.
Lailai was surprised. “Fu bro, you know HT’s new AD?”
Fu Siyan grunted in reply. “Yeah, we know each other.”
I spoke coldly. “Just know each other?”
“We’ve known each other for quite a while.”
Fu Siyan had no idea I knew about his history with Tang Nansheng. After all, he’d changed his name, and things between them were long ago. Back then, they were both in an orphanage. Later, Fu Siyan was taken in by the Fu family, and Tang Nansheng took the Fu family’s money to go abroad. He originally hated her for leaving without a word, but when they reunited, he couldn’t help getting close to her, helping her. So cheap. Maybe in their minds, it’s a love story full of torment. And I’m just the vicious female supporting character, the stumbling block on their path to love.
