After I openly announced my relationship with Jiang Yue, everyone in the group chat hounded him for the video, desperate to watch my humiliation.

Jiang Yue, however, went as silent as the dead. It wasn’t that he refused to send anything. He simply had a grievance he couldn’t voice.

After that day, he no longer dared send thirst traps to tease me. I gave him the cold shoulder. I was busy dealing with the next one and had no time to tend to his feelings.

A week later, he finally realized he wasn’t the one avoiding me. I had already forgotten him.

“Your phone keeps buzzing. Aren’t you going to check it?”

A deep, mellow voice sounded beside my ear.

Shen Lianxi was the second rich heir to get close to me.

Ever since I transferred to this elite school, its students had regarded themselves as superior. To them, I was a bumpkin who had crawled out of some backward village—a pathetic creature who valued grades more than life yet could never stand beside them as an equal.

Shen Lianxi therefore chose neither the frenzied courtship favored by most of them nor Jiang Yue’s risky seduction. He approached me in the name of studying, volunteering to tutor me so he could win my admiration and gratitude.

Simply winning me over wasn’t exciting enough for him. He liked stealing other men’s girlfriends. That was a proper challenge.

Frowning, I placed the opportunity directly before him.

“I argued with my boyfriend. I’m afraid he’ll break up with me.”

He blurted, “Then why not get a new boyfriend?”

Shen Lianxi wore glasses over refined, aloof features. The beauty mark beside his eye, however, made him resemble a quietly venomous snake.

I stared at him in surprise and refused. “I take relationships very seriously.”

“I was joking.” He changed tack smoothly. “But I can help make sure your boyfriend can’t live without you. Want to try?”

He smiled. Behind his lenses, those deep eyes tempted me without giving anything away.

When Jiang Yue came looking for me with displeasure written across his face, Shen Lianxi was guiding my hands over the piano keys.

At the sound, I turned toward the door. At that exact moment, Shen Lianxi’s lips “accidentally” brushed my cheek.

The instant Jiang Yue saw him, his expression turned black. He charged in and roared, “What the hell are you doing?”

The comment feed delighted in the chaos.

Soon, his expression shifted into an inexperienced, guilty panic. The kiss had reminded him of what I’d done to him in the music room. He lowered his eyes awkwardly to hide it.
