Chapter 163

Ye-Hua’s Wedding (Finale)

The emcee was in charge of the vows. “Today, witnessed by all of us, you will make a promise to each other: from this day forward, through all of Yu Sheng, you will walk hand in hand, rely on one another for life, never leave nor abandon each other, fill your days together with beauty and joy, and stand by each other through sweetness and hardship. Ms. Ye Susheng, do you?”

Ye Susheng was already brimming with tears. When she spoke, every word came out slow and deliberate. “I… do…”

Seeing her like this, Hua Suihe could not help the redness that rose in her own eyes. She lifted both hands to cup Ye Susheng’s face and wipe away her tears, the smile blooming on her lips growing brighter and more dazzling.

The emcee said, “Ms. Hua Suihe, do you?”

“I do.”

“I am willing to spend all of Yu Sheng with Ye Zi’s wife, to face life together and explore all its joys. I am willing to exchange my finite life for a lifetime of companionship. Ye Susheng, I love you.” This was what being love-brained was like. Hua Suihe did not deny that she could be a little extreme when it came to love, but she simply could not live without the person she loved.

Fortunately, the one she had fallen for was someone worthy.

Her life had never been full of calculations and weighing pros and cons. She would always choose love.

“Hua Hua…”

As it turned out, a two-thousand-word vow really was too much to ask of Ye Zi.

Clearly, every word was engraved in her heart, but the moment she opened her mouth, all that came out was a sobbing tremor. Every word caught in her throat, and tears the size of beans came pattering down. Afraid it would be unlucky to cry, she pressed her lips together, not daring to let out a single whimper.

Hua Suihe leaned in and kissed her cheek, leaving behind a faint lip print. “I know. I’ve heard what you want to say so many times already. Hearing you say ‘I do’ with your own mouth is enough.”

Hua Hua still loved her so much. She loved Hua Hua so, so much.

She had expected herself to be useless on the spot, so she had recorded a video in advance.

The emcee played it on the projector.

Hua Suihe’s attention was drawn by the movement. She looked toward the white screen. With a crackling hiss, the video appeared above.

After it was clicked to play, Ye Susheng appeared sitting in the study, recording herself with her phone. It was not entirely a vow; there were also plenty of embarrassingly sweet words of love. The video was five minutes long, yet it seemed as if she could never finish saying everything she wanted to say.

This silly fool. She had secretly hidden away to record a video by herself, and somehow, even talking to herself, she had managed to make herself cry. By the end of the video, she truly could not speak anymore, so she lifted a sheet of drawing paper instead.

On it was a drawing of Ye Susheng and Hua Suihe sitting in the desert, kissing each other, with fireworks filling the sky behind them. In the blank space, she had also written, “Hua Hua, I love you ❤.”

[Gu Gu: Damn you love-brained fool. Happy wedding. You have to be happy.]

[Gu Gu: I don’t have anything good to tip with. I’ll cover tonight’s fireworks.]

[Wuqi: Wishing our guardian of love, Hua Hua, a happy wedding.]

[Brother Zimu: Wishing my Streamer Bae a happy wedding.]

[Wishing my Ye-Hua a happy wedding!]

[Ye-Hua 99, happy wedding!]

The livestream chat flew by in a perfectly uniform flood of comments.

At the venue, the newlyweds finished exchanging rings and tossed the bouquet, which was caught by Fang Ge.

After that, there were no more complicated rituals. They could drink and eat with friends and family, then, once everyone was full and satisfied, take advantage of the sunset to shoot a few beautiful sets of photos as keepsakes.

Naturally, the staff from the wedding company did not join them, and sat at a separate table to eat.

Xia Moyi raised her glass to toast the newlyweds, saying a string of blessings. Once her emotions rose, a mist of tears also gathered in her eyes.

To her, this was no different from watching an older sister get married. Although her sister was no longer as close to her as before, she had long since regarded Hua Suihe as her closest family.

It was not that she felt sad. She was simply moved by Sister Ah He’s happiness.
Hua Suihe clinked glasses with her, then leaned in and gave her a hug, gently patting her shoulder.

Her manner was warm, like an older sister chatting about everyday life. “Moyi, you can start looking for your own happiness too. I didn’t let you date back then, but now you’ve met all four men. Is there anyone you like?”

Back then, she hadn’t taken Xia Moyi down the main storyline. Now that Xia Moyi knew all four male leads, if she wanted to pick one of them to date, that would be fine too.

Xia Moyi immediately shook her head and denied it at once. “No. I don’t like them.”

Hua Suihe didn’t press her. She only said, “Just follow your heart. Life is long, and you’ll come across all kinds of possibilities.”

“Thank you, Sister.” Xia Moyi gripped her wineglass a little tightly, her expression earnest as she offered her blessing. “I wish you and Sister Ye Susheng happiness forever.”

“Thank you~”

Fang Ge also raised her glass in celebration. “Hua Hua, in the blink of an eye, you and Ye Susheng are married. I still haven’t even treated you two to that meal I owe you.”

Last time they ate together, Hua Suihe had paid the bill. Fang Ge had said that once she had a partner, she would treat them in return. But now, after all this time, her road to winning over her wife was still long and winding.

Yi Shuang was such a blockhead. Her heart clearly sped up whenever Fang Ge got close. Wasn’t that liking someone? So why did she keep hiding?

Unable to figure it out, Fang Ge drank a few more glasses. Now, seeing lovers finally come together, the melancholy in her heart only deepened.

Bai Yanshan was Fang Ge’s best friend and knew about her feelings for Yi Shuang. Seeing Fang Ge look so dejected, she couldn’t help feeling a little resentful, even though she knew it wasn’t exactly Yi Shuang’s fault.

Bai Yanshan snatched the glass from her hand. “Drink less. If you drink too much, your stomach will hurt.”

Fang Ge simply pretended to be drunk and collapsed onto Yi Shuang.

Yi Shuang caught her and didn’t push her away. Instead, she considerately tested the burning heat on Fang Ge’s face with her hand. “Should I help you go rest? I’ll make you some honey water.”

Fang Ge draped an arm over Yi Shuang’s left shoulder and rested her head on her right. Feeling Fang Ge’s soft short hair brush across her forehead, she wondered how they could be this intimate and yet Yi Shuang still not like her.

Maybe the alcohol really had gone to her head, because she finally dared to voice her accusation. “You’re always like this. You accept my flirting, but you won’t accept me…”

“If you keep this up, I won’t… I won’t like you anymore.”

Yi Shuang’s expression tightened slightly. She scooped Fang Ge up by the waist and carried her toward the sofa.

Bai Yanshan watched from where she stood, unconsciously frowning. Did Yi Shuang like their Fang Ge or not? She never gave a clear answer, yet she acted possessive too. People who were born to keep things ambiguous were the absolute worst.

Hua Suihe took all of this in. She was, after all, Gu Gu and Wuqi’s love strategist. In her opinion, there was definitely something going on between those two. But today was her and Ye Susheng’s big day, so everyone else’s relationship problems could be left undiscussed.

After the meal, they went around taking photos at different locations. Once the sky grew dark, they headed to the designated spot to set off the fireworks Gu Gu had tipped them.

After a grand fireworks show, the wedding finally came to a close.

Knowing Hua Hua was exhausted today, their wedding night was tenderness to the extreme.

There would be countless days and nights like this in the future.

Oh, right. Before recording the video, Ye Susheng had deliberately searched up many poetic lines of love and even copied some of them down.

There was one line-“As tides rise and fall, people in sync meet, and those who long for each other reunite”-that felt as though it had been written for them. But she didn’t dare, nor was she willing, to let Hua Hua hear it.

Hua Hua had once been buried in the sea. That was a scar Ye Susheng did not dare mention.

There were countless words of love in this world. Romance was not limited to tides and sunsets.

For Ye Susheng and Hua Suihe, from now until the end of their lives, there would be no more parting by life and death.
