Qin Zhi’s father, just like my own dad, was a male snake and was unable to shift into a human form.

The little cub inside was getting a bit restless.

Qin Zhi sucked in a sharp breath. He stroked my head, his voice tender.

I couldn’t tell if he was coaxing me or himself. “Forget it. I’ll endure it a bit longer, baby.”
