Just before I was about to be completely devoured, my brain could only process two thoughts.

Didn’t he say he hated snakes the most?!

How could this be happening!

I closed my eyes in fear.

The sound of rustling reached my ears.

Qin Zhi drew even closer.

A moist, soft sensation traced the outline of my ear, moving upward bit by bit.

My body trembled, and a soft whimper escaped my lips.

“Don’t, Qin Zhi… you can’t do that.

“You still haven’t answered my… question.”

I instinctively moved my hands to protect my stomach.

“Well, you didn’t tell me you were a Little White Snake either, baby.”

He pinned my hands down and used his Snake Tail to coil around my thighs, attempting to pry them apart.

“Not that way?

“Then how about… this way?”

I couldn’t help but sob aloud.

“This isn’t okay either…”

Just as I was losing the strength to resist and was about to surrender, Qin Zhi’s phone rang.

He tried to ignore it.

But after the call disconnected, it immediately rang again.

Qin Zhi frowned, hesitating for a few seconds before finally picking up.

A delicate female voice sounded from the other end:

“Brother!! Where are you!! Why aren’t you home yet!!

“Hurry up, someone is following me home. I’m so scared, waaaah, come save me!”

Qin Zhi let go of me.

With a tense expression, he shifted back into human form, pulled open the car door, sat in the driver’s seat, and slammed on the accelerator, racing toward home.

I had never seen him look so anxious.

I said sourly, “Qin Zhi, just let me out of the car. It’s really inappropriate for me to be there when you go see your girlfriend.”

Leaning against the car window, I silently shed little pearls of tears.

The car stopped in a small alley.

I saw two wretched-looking muscular men lying on the ground near a young woman’s feet, foaming at the mouth.

I recognized her.

Her name was Yuan Ling, an internet celebrity with tens of millions of followers.

Many people said she had been made famous by a mysterious source of capital.

She had no talent, loved to argue with people, and her hobbies were Taekwondo and raising snakes. I honestly didn’t know how she became so popular.

Yuan Ling saw Qin Zhi and said with a grin:

“Brother, you’re finally here. I thought I wouldn’t be able to beat the two of them, but I didn’t expect them to be so weak. I took them down in just a few moves.”

Qin Zhi frowned.

“Don’t call me for trivial matters you can handle yourself in the future.”

“Oh.”

Yuan Ling wasn’t angry.

She remained smiling.

However, as her gaze shifted to the left and landed on me sitting in the car, her smile vanished instantly.

She charged toward the car in a fit of rage.

With a stomp on the gas, she sped off with me.

Even Qin Zhi didn’t have time to react.

I was stunned.

Was this the second time in my life as a snake that I was being kidnapped?
