Daylight broke.

My body felt like it was falling apart from exhaustion.

But Pei Wang produced a small pill from somewhere and fed it to me. After taking it, every ounce of fatigue vanished.

“Pei Wang, where are my teammates?”

Pei Wang was kneeling on the floor, putting my shoes on for me. At my question, he pointed toward the consultation room next door. “She’s sleeping in there.”

“…Then, the noise we made last night?”

Hearing this, Pei Wang arched an eyebrow and chuckled teasingly. “So you know how to be embarrassed now?”

I was so fuming that I wanted to beat him to death.

Seeing that I was about to lose my temper, Pei Wang tactfully explained, “Don’t worry, she couldn’t hear anything.”

“Oh. Well, at least you finally did something decent.”

Pei Wang let out a soft laugh. “I wouldn’t let anyone else hear Xinxin cry, either.”

This man is so shameless.

After finishing with my shoes, Pei Wang asked, “I have some business to handle in the Dean’s office. Do you want to come with me, Xinxin?”

I shook my head firmly. “No. I’m going to look around the hospital for clues on how to clear the stage and return to reality.”

Pei Wang returned to the Dean’s office alone, looking extremely reluctant.

I, on the other hand, took my Maid teammate from next door and went to search for the remaining members of our group.

She complained bitterly the entire way.

“Youxin, you have no idea what those patients were like last night. There was even a woman who kept coming in and crying, asking me where her baby went.” She slapped her thigh hard, looking fierce. “Where’s the baby? It was literally clinging to her shoulder the whole time!”

She’d had a rough time too, then. Just like me, she had been tormented by all sorts of bizarre patients until midnight.

The two of us searched the hospital together for over an hour before we finally found the remaining Bodyguard teammate.

The Bodyguard’s face was deathly pale, and he was shaking like a leaf. “They… they’re all dead. They died in the morgue! The morgue is full of monsters!”

My heart skipped a beat.

Were we the only three players left in the hospital?

It seemed the manor was safer after all.

However, the car parked outside that was supposed to take us back to the manor was gone.

We couldn’t go back.

My heart sank.

If Xie Lizhi can’t find me, will he go crazy with rage?

What if he comes to the hospital and runs into Pei Wang?
