Chapter 5

Looking at Lu Zhou’s vicious expression, like some hellish asura, I froze for a moment before he rushed up in two quick strides and grabbed my wrist.

“What are you doing?”

Through Lu Hanchen’s shirt, he clamped down on my forearm. The pain made me suck in a sharp breath.

The next second, Lu Hanchen seized his wrist and stopped him.

“Get out.”

The faint flush on his face hadn’t completely faded yet, but the aura around him had turned frighteningly cold.

The barrage comments on the screen started screaming like crazy.

[What’s going on? Why is the male lead so angry? How did a female rivalry shura field turn into a male rivalry shura field?!]

[Honestly, as long as there’s drama, who cares if it’s girls or guys? I’m so here for it. Fight, fight!]

[The male lead is probably this mad because he remembered the female supporting character touched him the same way before, and now he’s disgusted.]

[I think so too. Look, he rushed in before even treating that injured arm of his. It must’ve been hard to endure.]

I lowered my head to look, and only then did I realize Lu Zhou’s arm was still bleeding. The heavy smell of blood filled the room.

Lu Zhou’s face looked awful, but under his brother’s gaze, he still let go of my hand.

His eyes remained locked on the arm I’d stuffed inside his brother’s clothes, though, so angry his eyes had gone red.

“Take it out!”

Fine, I’ll take it out. I curled my lips and started pulling my hand back.

But right at the end, I gave him another little rub. Lu Hanchen was the one I was meant to be with, and he was willing too, so what was wrong with touching him a little?

That one little motion, however, made both men in the room stiffen all over, their faces flushing red.

Lu Hanchen was embarrassed. He kept a cold face, but the tips of his ears were so red they looked ready to drip blood, and he turned to glance at me.

As for Lu Zhou, he was just furious. His face, pale from blood loss just moments ago, was now flushed bright red. He looked at his own abdomen, then at his brother’s, and glared at me with reddened eyes.

“Qin Tang! Did you use the same trick to fool my brother too?!”

When Luo Qing’er exposed me, Lu Hanchen hadn’t been there. He’d only thought Lu Zhou and I had gotten into a fight.

Now he was frowning faintly, as if he couldn’t understand what we were talking about.

Lu Zhou gritted his teeth.

“A Healing Ability only needs physical contact, but you insisted on taking advantage of us, you damn perv…”

The barrage comments were laughing themselves silly.

[Lu Zhou really cares about this. He keeps going on and on about how he got taken advantage of.]

[Exactly. His once-pure body has been touched who knows how many times by now. A big man like him, and he doesn’t even know what modesty is.]

[Once a man gets sullied, nobody wants him anymore. If I were Luo Qing’er, I wouldn’t want him either.]

I rubbed my fingertips together, a little embarrassed, but not that embarrassed.

I didn’t want him pinning the label of female pervert on me, but I wanted even less to tell him about my weird illness.

Besides, I healed him for free. So what if I touched him a couple times? It wasn’t like he lost a chunk of flesh. Back then, when he held me every day while he slept, he seemed pretty secure too, didn’t he?

More than once, when I complained about the heat in the middle of the night, he’d instinctively pull me even tighter into his arms.

I just didn’t dare look at Lu Hanchen. I was afraid that, like Lu Zhou, once he learned it had all been a lie, the only thing in his eyes when he looked at me would be disappointment.

“I told her she could touch me.”

The room fell into eerie silence. I jerked my head up in shock, and Lu Zhou’s face went even paler.

“Brother?”

The blood on his arm seemed to have congealed in his palm, hanging there without falling.

“Get out of my room.”
