Teasing the Twin Psychics in the Apocalypse - Chapter 6
Chapter 6
Lu Hanchen’s expression was calm as he glanced at Lu Zhou’s arm.
“If you don’t want to use your ability to heal it, then bandage it yourself.”
Lu Zhou flung the door open and rushed out. That left only Lu Hanchen and me in the room, and for some reason, I suddenly felt awkward.
“It hasn’t healed yet.”
The man’s low, husky voice came from beside me. I turned my head and met a pair of deep, unreadable eyes.
Lu Hanchen lifted the half-healed knife wound in front of me.
“Do you want to keep treating it?”
I swallowed. Was the room getting a little too warm? Why were my cheeks heating up too?
The comments were losing their minds.
[What do you mean cold and aloof? He’s obviously the repressed type!]
[I can’t take it anymore. Seduction! This is blatant seduction!!]
[If you’re gonna find a man, find one this slick.]
[Seriously though, this is totally my type. He knows the female supporting character is lying to him, and he’s still playing along with her act.]
No reason not to take advantage of a free hug. I threw myself into Lu Hanchen’s arms and held on to my heart’s content.
It wasn’t until someone knocked on the door and I looked up that I realized the flush on Lu Hanchen’s face hadn’t gone away this whole time.
Even so, his expression remained as indifferent as ever.
“Come in.”
Luo Qing’er looked a little embarrassed.
“I didn’t mean to interrupt you two, but Lu Zhou refused to let me heal him. He insisted on bandaging himself.”
I frowned slightly. What was that supposed to mean?
Lu Hanchen, however, didn’t seem surprised at all. He gave a quiet “mm,” lowered his head, and rubbed the now-healed cut on himself twice, his lips pressing together ever so slightly.
Luo Qing’er continued.
“Then after he came out of your room just now… he was sitting in the living room bandaging himself, and suddenly he looked down at the chest area of what he was holding in his arms…”
She scratched her head.
“And then he let out this howl and charged out like a bull. It’s the middle of the night already. Shouldn’t we go look for him…?”
Lu Hanchen’s brows drew together almost imperceptibly, and I stood up too.
In the apocalypse, going out alone was extremely dangerous.
Even though Lu Zhou had a high-level lightning ability, if he ran into a zombie horde in the dark, he could still get trapped.
Not to mention, he was injured right now. The smell of blood from his arm was enough to attract a wave of zombies.
We got up to go look for Lu Zhou, but in the next second, I saw the comments.
[What’s the male lead squatting outside the door for?]
[Who knows, maybe he had to take a dump?]
[Are you sure? He’s the male lead, and he’s that handsome. He wouldn’t do something that uncivilized, right?]
[Then I guess he ran away from home-he’s throwing a tantrum at his brother and sister-in-law. What a brat.]
My steps halted, and the corner of my mouth twitched.
Lu Hanchen had been watching my anxious expression, his gaze darkening slightly. When he saw me stop, he turned to look at me.
I waved a hand.
“He didn’t go far. He’s just wandering around outside the door. Go back to sleep, both of you.”
They were both a little surprised, but neither of them asked any questions. Luo Qing’er, as Lu Zhou’s destined match, turned and left immediately.
Before leaving, she gave an awkward little laugh.
“Apples don’t taste good after they oxidize, and you three haven’t been in the kitchen for way too long…”
She didn’t need to finish the rest. The comments were speechless.
[The male and female leads still have zero progress. The male lead is completely fixated on getting an explanation after the female supporting character took advantage of him, and the female lead has nothing in her head except food.]
[They’re both so carefree it’s still shippable. I’m going to keep shipping them no matter what.]
[I think the male lead is outside the door so angry he’s crying because he realized no one went out to look for him.]
