After all, I still wanted to try. What if I could eat it?

The Crown Prince didn’t force me to give it to him, either.

But one day, when I went to the Heavenly Emperor’s place to look for lingzhi to eat, I happened to overhear the Heavenly Emperor speaking with someone in the back valley behind the lingzhi grove.

Great Wilderness Mountain was far from the Heavenly Court and utterly deserted.

But I did see something else very good-a tall, upright figure standing by the misty, wave-washed shore.

I pattered over on my four short little legs, ran right up to him, and looked at his face.

I froze.

Everything about this male immortal was perfect, except that he looked awfully fierce.

I asked him, “What’s your name?”

He simply closed his eyes to rest.

So this was the legendary beauty. I wondered what I would look like after I could take human form. Was there any chance I could be this good-looking?

Imitating the Matchmaker, I asked again, “Little brother, how old are you? Have you been promised to anyone?”

The handsome male immortal was so angry he laughed.

He opened his eyes and said his first words to me: “Where did this little furry beast come from? Stay away from me.”

I got angry.
